Crema's Take
“This Santa Monica gem is an espresso-focused destination that takes its craft seriously, with reviewers consistently praising the quality and taste of every cup. The pastries are genuinely exceptional—think flaky croissants and inventive flavors like olive citrus cake—making it worth stopping by even if you're just grabbing coffee to go, though the cozy interior invites lingering conversations with friends. It's a small, quaint spot with a distinctly European sensibility that caters to coffee enthusiasts who appreciate authenticity over convenience.”

If you have children, please don’t go here, the proprietor (female, German) clearly does not appreciate patrons who have them, in a very obvious and rude way. I have been here twice, the first time when my daughter was 9 months old. She was making ‘noise’ as a 9mo baby does, no crying, just sound, some cooing etc. I was asked if I could keep my baby quiet. Very strange, kinda rude, but I figured the lady was probably just having a bad day. Left a bad taste though. Tried again this morning, about 1.5 years (!) later. And was met with the same rude attitude towards me and my child. She (my child) was sitting on the couch, quietly, just slightly thumping her heels on the back of the couch a couple times, nothing obnoxious, lengthy or damaging to the furniture. But clearly I was wrong, because before I even had the chance to correct my child if needed, she very rudely ‘asked’ me if I could stop my child from making that sound. I honestly am the first one to admit when my child is being obnoxious/loud/inappropriate etc, this was NOT one of those times. Besides, she 2.5 years old. I told her that I could certainly ask my daughter, but that she’s 2yo and is sitting quietly. The whole interaction earned an eye roll from the person who ordered after me, who clearly agreed with me. I didn’t even bother staying, I picked up my daughter and just left. Will not be coming back here. Shame, because the coffee is actually good, even if she did forget the milk. Just very strange and rude from a proprietor who chooses to open a cafe around the corner from a hospital and pediatric clinic. Judging from all the signs prohibiting all sorts of things, I don’t actually know why I’m surprised. She is of course within her rights to ask/prohibit whatever she wants, but it does seem to me that she forgets she’s in the service industry? Maybe if you’re so opposed to children in your establishment, put up a sign at the door prohibiting them from entering… If it’s really that big of a deal. Anyway, good luck.
This local coffee shop has amazing pastries and excellent coffee. You can really taste the quality, and the cozy atmosphere makes it even better. Highly recommend! Alex you’re the best!
Hands down the best coffee you can get. I came here for the first time and I'm kicking myself for not coming sooner I will be coming everyday as it seems everybody else who's ever been here that I've spoken to as I sat and had my coffee is regular as well now. Alexandra, very sweet and lovely person definitely knows what she's doing. Please come here you won't be disappointed and I am very glad that I tried the cardamom latte. That's going to be my new go-to. Maybe I'll be able to stretch and try something else, As it seems everybody I've spoken to says it's like coffee. You get in Europe good every time so you can't go wrong with whatever you got, but it's too good to jump outside the box right now with my new favorite.
A very cute, quaint coffee, tea, pastry and lunch spot. They have sandwiches and quiches! Inside there are a few places to sit and sip and eat, but this is mostly a To Go place. I met a friend here for tea and coffee and chose a couple pastries for us to share. I found a table and two chairs for us to sit and relax. We shared the Olive Citrus Cakw which we blith loved. We also shared a Fig Coconut bar which we found too rich. The woman sitting next to us ordered a quiche and she said it was delicious! Restrooms are available for customers only . There are a few tables and chairs to sit outside sidewalk on Wilshire. I met the owner! She is very nice and I want to support local women owned businesses!
I stopped in here after an appointment as I was craving something citrusy. To my delight they offered an olive citrus cake which was delicate, moist and full of flavor. Their croissant was flakey and buttery but the olive cake has my heart. The following week I came back to snag another olive cake and also indulged in their vanilla blueberry muffin - oh so light and fluffy with a hint of vanilla, not overly sweet, simply delicious! My friend snagged their almond danish - also a winner! They also offer quiches, sandwiches and breakfast, all of which I will eventually want to try.
