Crema's Take

Corazon Cafe SLO is a warm neighborhood gathering spot where the owner personally shares their passion for traditional Mexican coffee styles and regional chocolate, making each visit feel like a genuine conversation over expertly crafted drinks. Beyond the stellar coffee program, they serve thoughtful breakfast fare like chilaquiles verdes and fluffy pancakes that justify the care they put into every plate, all in a cozy indoor-outdoor space on Higuera Street that feels equally welcoming for a solo coffee break or lingering with friends.

What a charming café. And the Cafecito is served in adorable coffee cups. I ordered the breakfast burrito and I’m not gonna lie, I had a bit of sticker shock as far as the price was concerned. But when it came, I understood the price. This was literally the best breakfast burrito I’ve ever had in my life.

I had been eyeing this place for months, and finally decided to give it a try. That was mistake #1. I ordered a Mayan Mocha that's made with "chocolate from Chiapas". Ever had Nesquik chocolate milk? Yeah.. that's what it tasted like. As for the food, I thought I ordered chilaquiles, but instead got tortillas soaked in red-colored water. The worst attempt at chilaquiles I've ever had. Cute insta photos, but definitely flavorless food.

I believe it was the owner who took our order. He took the time to explain to us all the different styles of coffee he offers from the region of Mexico in which he’s from. We even got to taste the powders. It was so kind of him to do that for us. Because of that, we made such excellent choices for our coffee (Mayan mocha and mazapán latte) We shared the chilaquiles with chorizo. Holy cow man, those are the absolute truth 💥🧨🔥. I can’t wait to try more coffees and food options from here. Definitely come here and support this shop. You won’t regret it. I’ll be back! Gracias señor dueño por todo.

Great place. The chilaquiles verdes with carne asada and chicken were delicious, the breakfast wrap was filling, and the berry pancakes were fluffy. The Vanilla Latte was good but the Tascalatte(warm) and Mayan Mocha(cold) were excellent too. Friendly service, highly recommend. Muy bueno🔥

This is a cozy and vibrant cafe centered on Higuera street With indoor and outdoor door seating. The servers are very welcoming and take their time to explain the different menu options. Honestly looking around at the food being served everything looked delicious. We decided to try the Mayan mocha which was so delicious ! It’s creamy chocolate with hints of cinnamon and espresso. Definitely going back for that one. My husband ordered the Tescalatte which is a roasted corn latte. He really enjoyed the unique flavor. It wasnt too sweet and had smooth texture. The guava pastry was really good it was warm with a flaky crust and delicious guava cheese center. We would 100% recommend this place
