Wife and I visited Marblehead for 2 days. Got lunch here and enjoyed the sandwiches! She is gluten free intolerant and she enjoyed the pesto chicken sandwich. One of the best gf bread shes had. I had a cuban and enjoyed how it tasted. The chowder soup was average as well as the apple cider donut. Great place to walk to and enjoy a quick lunch. Would like for the muffins or some desert to be gluten free for my wife, but she was satisfied with the options of the sandwiches

I ordered the Cuban sandwich and they made it with Bologna. Not to be dramatic, but it was top 5 most disgusting things I've been served. And also a bit insulting to be served a $15 boloney sandwich as a 'cuban'. This happened over a month ago and I still think about how gross it was. The coffee and all the other stuff seemed nice. Just don't order the the Boloney Cuban.

I grew up in Marblehead and always loved this place. They have a great selection of food and pretty much everything is very good. It's simple diner food done right, and their baked goods are just fantastic. Bagels, muffins and cookies are all delicious. Everything is also fairly priced and has large portions. Worth the trip if you're from out of town, and a great local spot to pick up food to go and walk around the cute part of town it's in (old town).

Party of 4, each of us was extremely satisfied with our lunch choices of soup , sandwiches, & cookies. We were surprised at the great lunch selections thinking this was only a bakery & coffee. Lots here to enjoy.

It came to us as amusing, that even at 1.15pm, lunch time, the place called the Muffin Shop was out of Muffins. Still it made up by some lovely sandwiches. I opted for a Turkey Reuben sandwich - on wheat bread. My Sandwhich was easy to order, the only question was the choice of breads. My partner had an ham and cheese sandwich with lettuce, tomato and mayo on white. Ham and cheese seemed a simply sandwich, but he had to answer another few questions: a) Do you want lettuce? - Yes; b) do you want tomato? - Yes; c) Do you want condiments? - Which do you have? - a list ensues - I'll have mayo; d) What bread do you want? Well worth a visit for lunch.
