Crema's Take

Java Joe's & Groovy Bean is a beloved Santa Fe institution where locals and travelers alike settle in for carefully crafted espresso drinks and creative pastries, particularly their legendary green chile croissant that captures the spirit of New Mexico. The roastery's relaxed, bohemian vibe and genuinely warm staff make it an ideal spot to linger over a pour over or signature specialty drink, though be aware that consistency can vary and it reads as a casual neighborhood spot rather than a polished specialty destination.

People are terrible and rude specifically the woman with the short brown hair. I saw roaches within the first minutes of being there…. I’ve heard all the food is frozen and coffee is old and tastes rotten. Any place is better than this

Enjoyed the coffee and bagel. Basics, but still good! Service was quick and enjoyed the comfortable atmosphere. Seems to be a local hangout, we drove down for the morning from Taos and squeezed in the coffee break!

I love the aesthetic, & the staff are delightful, professional and helpful. Every time I've gone in they've had a coffee from my absolute favorite regions. Pastries are nice, hello green chili croissant I think I love you. This Cafe has great "flavor" and atmosphere.

Needed a place to camp and get some work done while my car was in the shop and this place worked well. I got a rose cardamom latte and a quiche. I didn't taste much rose or cardamom, but it was a good latte regardless. The bacon & green chile quiche seemed to be missing the bacon, but as just a green chile quiche, it was good. As a space to work, it's quite peaceful. I was wearing headphones, but between tracks, I could tell the music they were playing was a jam. The chairs are kinda uncomfy though. The couches looked softer, but I needed a table.
