Crema's Take

This locally roasted downtown gem has earned genuine love from regulars for Theo's knowledgeable passion and their commitment to doing things right—whether that's serving legitimately smooth, unsweetened matcha or crafting thoughtful espresso drinks with artistic flair. The corner location offers killer views and a welcoming vibe perfect for lingering over pour overs or creative seasonal drinks alongside genuinely craveable pastries like their beyond-addicting chocolate croissants. It's the kind of place where you feel the care in every cup and the atmosphere invites you to stay awhile.

This place actually serves legit, unsweetened matcha, the only spot in town I’ve found that does it right. Flavor was solid, smooth, and not the usual sugar bomb. My only issue is how they prepare it. They pour boiling water into a standard plastic cup, add the matcha powder, and whisk it directly in there. Those cups are absolutely not made for high temperatures, and you can just see the plastic leeching into the drink. The cup even warped from the heat. So here’s my recommendation: Keep serving that high quality matcha, but please switch to proper heat safe vessels for preparation. The drink has real potential, just let it shine without the side of melted cup.

Located in the heart of downtown Billings, this little coffee shop is the perfect place to study, get some work done, and to get your caffeine fix This spot is locally owned, roasted, and brewed. They have a local non-profit partner. Each order is fresh roasted to order, and they’re brought to us by sustainable farms in small batch I had to be at work early that morning, and I was staying in the area, so, I walked over to get a quick pick-me-up. I like that they’re open earlier than most coffee shops in the area The interior is spacious and well-decorated. There are your typical snacks, other breakfast treats, merchandise, roastery machinery, and plenty of seating options There was only one barista working when I arrived around 6am, but there were already several patrons who had already been helped. This barista was professional, friendly, and efficient. I received my order within a couple minutes of ordering The menu offers a variety of classic specialty coffees as well as seasonal and specialty offerings. There’s non-espresso drinks, chai/teas, etc. there’s breakfast foods, snacks, and you can even purchase beans/grounds to take home As I was in a rush I only had time for a to-go coffee and a quick bite (stroopwaffles). Both hit the spot on an early winter morning Some tips: Parking isn’t great downtown, but you can find some metered parking. There are a handful of parking garages in the area. Again, there is plenty of space if you want to relax in a lovely coffee shop and just enjoy your cup o’ joe Cheers!!

Came here from out of town, nice service, chill atmosphere, and my coffee was made so cute! I got a cinnamon mocha ❤️ I put the lid on then took it off again so it got a little messed up, but seriously so cute!
