Crema's Take

Café Josephine is a hidden gem tucked near Corona Heights with a sun-soaked terrace and million-dollar city views that make it feel like a secret locals have been keeping. The kitchen shines with thoughtful comfort food—their grilled cheese with pesto is legendary, the egg salad toast is simple perfection, and they partner with Acme Bakery for excellent breads, all backed by genuinely great coffee and the kind of warm, attentive service that makes you want to linger for hours. It's the rare spot where you'll find ample free parking, room to spread out, and that unhurried cafe atmosphere that makes San Francisco feel a little bit like home.

Honey, let me spill the tea on Café Josephine! This queen gives it five sparkling stars, and that's no exaggeration! Now let me tell you, the views from that terrace are more breathtaking than my waist cincher. You can see all of San Francisco laid out before you like a fabulous glittery gown. It's a feast for the eyes, darling! And don't even get me started on those ceramic cups! They're so beautiful, I was half tempted to sneak one into my purse. (Just kidding, sisters! This queen doesn't steal... anymore.) The latte art was pure perfection - that barista must have arms of steel to make designs that intricate. If you haven't been to Café Josephine, you better sashay your way over there pronto. It's the perfect spot to spill the tea with your girls, have a kiki, or just feel your oats while sipping on something delicious. Trust and believe, this place is a ten across the board!

Go for the museum, stay for the food and revisit for the food. Yes! Absolutely mouth watering food and awesome service. Coffee was great. Egg Salad on toast was great, special spring grilled cheese was great, soup was great and chia pudding was great too. I will be returning for food.

Hidden gem near Corona Heights park. Cute cafe with amazing city views. A variety of drinks and light lunch choices. I tried the egg salad toast and wasn’t disappointed. Definitely worth the visit if you’re in the neighborhood.

Wonderful little cafe worth seeking out. Lots of free parking. Acme Bakery breads. Nice wait staff. The grilled cheese with pesto and soup is delicious. Lovely patio seating area with million dollar views of SF and the Bay. The “parrots of Telegraph Hill” were circling the trees during my visit. Cafe is connected to the Randall, a free kid-friendly natural history museum. A must see for families with kids visiting The Bay. The museum and cafe are next to Corona Heights Park if you want to climb the hill for even more expansive views of the City.
