Crema's Take
“This beautifully decorated neighborhood gem near the Red Line is a destination in itself, with an atmosphere so inviting that regulars and first-time visitors alike rave about the holiday-worthy ambiance and thoughtful decor. Beyond the Instagram-worthy surroundings, they nail the fundamentals—creamy hot chocolates with subtle salt notes, quality lattes, and excellent pastries alongside full breakfast options that justify lingering over a long sit. The weekday laptop ban and attentive table service signal a cafe designed for genuine conversation and connection, making it the kind of place worth venturing slightly off the beaten downtown path for.”

Got a hot chocolate. It was good; it had a bit of salt to counter the sweetness it seemed. Could have been more chocolately to suit my tastes, but it was very creamy. I could see some people really loving it. I liked it but didn't love it. The interior is so gorgeous. I love the themeing. The staff are kind and prompt as well as helpful.
We took the Red Line from Chinatown, and it was a short 2 min walk from the nearest stop to the cafe. We arrived close to 10:30am on a Friday, and was lucky enough to snag a table. There was mostly high tops and a couch that was still unoccupied. It was beautiful inside. I loved the whole vibe and layout of the cafe. I loved all the mirrors placed around the cafe. I ordered a vanilla matcha earl grey tea. The breakfast sandwich was simple, nothing too special. Fresh drip coffee was fresh and good. We stayed close to an hour. The cafe had plenty of foot traffic.
Amazing decor and ambiance along side high quality cakes, pastries, and some hot dishes. Service was nice and they do bus things out to your table. During the weekends they do have a ban on laptops which is nice to see.
This is such a beautiful coffee shop! I’ve been wanting to get over here for so long, but I’m glad my first visit was during the holidays. The decorations are beautiful and really lend to the ambiance. The staff were very friendly and helpful, even when my 3 year old granddaughter spilled some of her smoothie. Plus, they have decaf espresso beans! (Which not every independent shop has.) I’ll definitely be back.
This cafe is a little bit off the beaten path from downtown Chicago, but it’s so beautiful that it's totally worth the trip! The atmosphere and decor are amazing. The latte is great, and the breakfast sandwiches we ordered came out really fast! Everything was delicious. I loved it!
