Crema's Take
“Sweet Talk Cafe has mastered the art of being a creative third space in Cary, with a thoughtfully designed interior that draws in remote workers and coffee enthusiasts alike. Their signature creative drinks shine—think Ube Cafe Lattes and inventive matcha preparations—paired with standout pastries like tiramisu crofles and ube bread that keep regulars coming back. The café feels like a place where Instagram-worthy aesthetics meet genuinely solid coffee and thoughtful service, making it as much about the experience and vibe as it is about what's in your cup.”

I’ve been a regular customer here for about two years, and overall, it’s a solid spot to visit. My go-to drinks are the coffees and the hot or iced matcha, and they’ve consistently tasted great. I’ve also seen others order their desserts, which look both delicious and aesthetically pleasing. There have been a few minor instances where my order instructions weren’t followed exactly, but nothing major. I do think the atmosphere could use a bit of improvement in terms of feeling more welcoming.
The first two things that caught my attention were so many folks working on their laptops and the interior being super nice. Apart from that, I loved the tiramusu crofle, and would love to be back!
I’m a non-local, saw their holiday menu on Instagram, so yummy! Love the vibe, drinks, food, service! The highlight for me was the cool unique glasses and ube bread.
I was very excited to try Sweet Talk based on their Instagram and website. The in-person experience did not disappoint! I ordered the Ube Cafe Latte, Strawberry Croffle, and my mom ordered the cappuccino. The barista was attentive and even offered to add in stevia for my mom when she noticed her grabbing some packets. Everything tasted as delicious as it looked and all ingredients were fresh and real! The environment was great for chatting and getting my schoolwork done. I will be back!
Edit: i changed my mind about how I feel about this business after reading the reviews and I don’t think I’ll be coming back, honestly. I went through customer reviews stating their drinks tasted watered down just for them to come back saying ‘let us find something you DO like,’ okay? What if she LOVES matcha? YOURS tastes watered down. You get what I’m saying? I’m not supporting a passive-aggressive company that can’t take criticism. Another customer stated they have a disability and can’t drink cold or carbonated beverages, couldn’t get a non-iced drink, so they asked for light ice and were given terrible service not accommodating their LIGHT ice request. You know what their response was? ‘If we knew you had a disability we could’ve done that.’ Nothing about the disrespect coming from the employee. No accountability taken whatsoever. It’s disgusting. See photos for details on reviews. I'm still craving that Sugar Crunch Latte. I can't wait to come back and get it again soon!! A small is a little on the pricier side, but SO worth getting such a unique, amazing tasting iced coffee. I love how the sugar pieces dissolve and infuse the coffee with more flavor over time. I loved everything about the Matcha Crème Croffle as well, super fresh and was made when I arrived. The matcha crème is SO creamy, matcha forward, rich, and not too sweet. Mochi on the side was definitely the way to go! The white chocolate curls I added were the perfect touch for a bit of texture/taste as well.
