That Early Bird

Absolute morning perfection at That Early Bird! Lazy Sunday morning, I swung by That Early Bird this weekend for a quick breakfast, and wow, what a delightful start to the day! I went with a recommended vanilla latte and their creative banana bread latte for our coffee fix, plus we ordered the Mench (such a hearty, satisfying choice) and the Astro 2.0 breakfast sandwiches. The traditional vanilla latte was spot-on: smooth, perfectly balanced espresso with just the right amount of sweetness and velvety foam—exactly what I crave in a traditional latte. But the banana bread latte stole the show for me! It tastes just like fresh-baked banana bread in liquid form, warm, cozy notes of ripe banana, subtle spice, and a hint of sweetness without being overpowering. It’s unique, comforting, and honestly one of the best seasonal/specialty lattes I’ve tried anywhere. For food, the Astro 2.0 breakfast sandwich reminded me of these YouTube breakfast sandwiches made that have 2+million reviews: fluffy omelet square, melty cheddar, creamy avocado smash, and that addictive dill aioli all hugged by a toasted bun. Every bite was flavorful, fresh, and perfectly portioned, not too heavy but super satisfying. I added some onions, tomatoes and capers from The Mench sandwich to make it my own spin on my sandwich. The Mench (their loaded, crowd-pleasing breakfast sandwich option) was equally impressive, generous fillings, great textures, and that “I need this again tomorrow” vibe. Service was friendly and quick, the vibe is chill and welcoming, and everything felt made with care. If you’re in the area and want elevated yet approachable breakfast with standout coffee drinks, That Early Bird is a must-visit. I’ll be back soon, probably for another banana bread latte fix! The atmosphere of this cafe is overall good because I saw a small kids playing are, great for families dining in with kids. The only downside would be the price of food, it’s more of a higher end for small cafe sandwiches, I paid almost $10 for just one sandwich, plus additional for the latte. Also since it’s our first time, we didn’t know that we actually need to take care of our own dishes when we first ordered up front. They asked for tips so both my friend and I tipped 20% but later realized that they only brought out the food to us but we had to do all the clean ups. The sandwich was alright, nothing very special or unique in flavor. We will probably be back for the coffee next time but not the food.

We are visiting from LA and saw this cute place while driving by. We got the Autumn Cold Brew, the hot lemon ginger, the mensch, and the Astro 2.0 with bacon and potatoes. Everything was delicious, they were so kind and helpful, I would recommend if you’re looking for a coffee and a quick bite. There were also a lot of people working because it’s such a nice atmosphere.

I was super happy with what I ordered. I’m sure the coffee is great here but I ordered matcha and it wasn’t my fav. Could be stronger but overall happy with everything.

Delicious made to order food. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great Americano and lattes. Indoor and patio seating. Nice place for couples, families, to work, or meet up with friends. Food and drink selection is top notch.
