Waffle Monkey

If you enjoy waffles, this place is for you. They have a great selection of creative waffles. My particular favorite was the banana and coconut waffle. He scrambled eggs and cheese are also wonderful. The coffee and tea was great. I have to say, the service was incredible. I would definitely go back and will.

So happy to find a place with gluten free/vegan waffles!! They were absolutely delicious!! The chai tea was amazing. The owners were so sweet. Only reason I’m not giving 5 starts is because the server utterly messed up my baby gender reveal to my in laws :( We told them we were doing a strawberry milkshake if it was a girl or a Nutella milk shake if it was a boy. We told the server to make sure they were unable to see the milk shake color when it was being served. But when they brought it to the table there was no lid on the milkshakes and Nutella was dripping down the sides of the cups. A moment we will never be able to recreate…. Extremely disappointing. (The silver lining was that the milkshakes tasted good)

We had a delightful brunch at Waffle Monkey. The service was impeccable, and the food was simply exceptional. We had the pleasure of chatting with Pete, the owner, who was incredibly friendly and welcoming. To start our meal, we tried the matcha, which was a refreshing and delicious choice. I opted for the Waffle Monkey, and I couldn’t resist adding a side of bacon. It was a delightful combination that left me thoroughly satisfied. My wife enjoyed the Egg and Bacon waffle, and she raved about its deliciousness as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and will definitely be returning to Waffle Monkey in the future.

An exciting find in downtown Sarasota! We have been to the original in Tamarindo twice. We just had to come in and try the one in Sarasota. It did not disappoint, it was exactly how we remembered it! The waffles are absolutely delicious!!! The owners, Cathrine and Pete, are warm and gracious hosts. Our waitress, Renee, was awesome! I’d highly recommend stopping in!

I have to rave about Waffle Monkey in Sarasota! I heard they have gluten-free waffles, and I was eager to see if they lived up to the hype. I’ve visited many other places that offer gluten-free breakfasts, but sometimes they just don’t quite hit the mark. My gluten-free waffle looked just like the regular Belgian waffles at my table. We also each got a coffee, and we were so surprised by how good it was. They use Costa Rican coffee, and it’s absolutely delicious. Our server was incredibly kind, and the owner even came by to check in and was super nice too. You can tell they really care about presentation, and the food reflects that. This will definitely be my go-to spot for gluten-free breakfast from now on.
