Crema's Take

This Gainesville spot expertly blends specialty coffee with globally-inspired cuisine, earning particular praise for their thoughtful lattes and creative dishes like brown sugar chai lattes paired with Dutch babies and cauliflower burritos. The kitchen clearly takes pride in their craft—reviewers rave about crispy potatoes and killer sauces—though the service experience can be inconsistent, ranging from Sarah's warm recommendations to rushed encounters during busier hours. It's the kind of place that shines as a chill morning coffee destination or for takeout, especially if you're drawn to cafes that treat food as seriously as their espresso.

Good with lattes and american fusion. They did add a lot of food culture from the world which I’m very appreciate and love. Sometimes ofter night dinner event which was very lovely. Chill morning with afternoon is the vibe for local.

Went here and loved everything. Our waitress Sarah was so friendly and gave excellent recommendations. We had the brown sugar chai latte and the Dutch baby and the cauliflower burrito. All were wonderful. This restaurant and their staff are top notch. I wish we had this in our town

The burger was good, although it was very messy. The sauce it had was a 10/10. But… The waiter felt like she wanted us out the door, she was really rushing with giving us the checks and then it was very expensive for just a burger with no fries. The wait for the food was also very long and the place was very cold indoors.

WOULD NEVER COME BACK AGAIN… My partner and I came at 1:30 and was told it was a 25 minute wait even though the place wasn’t packed. We decided to order 1 cappuccino outside and it was a 10 minute wait although no one else was ordering. 2:00 passed and we did not receive a text that our table was ready. We went inside to ask and turns out they forgot to text us. We were seated and it took so long for the food to arrive. 2:36 and we were STILL waiting. The Dutch baby was OVERLY DRENCHED in maple syrup. Our waiter never checked on us. We told the waiter that we didn’t like this and she was seemingly giving us attitude, taking our plates away and having all our forks and knives falling all over. The rest of the food was ok, would never come back with this type of experience. Seems like a lot of other reviews mentioned the long time wait/poor quality service.

Overall decent place, however this would for me be a take out place not a sit down and eat place. Let me explain that statement. Food was incredible, potatoes were so crispy and tender at the same time. Cinnamon roll was actually nicely frosted and sugar started caramelizing on the bottom which was great! My husband’s burrito was also great and my turkey club was filled with fresh ingredients and very generously lathered with sauce, bread was good too. When it somes to service and general feeling of the place is where “afternoon” falls behind. We were waiting to be seated/talked to for a while in the small entrance while people were trying to come in and out, our waitress was okay but she definitely entered our personal spaces every time she was there. Place is pricey, my husband’s late was $7.50, which is very steep for caramel, shot of espresso, and cup of milk. They also have a big fly problem, inside and outside which i thought was because of the nearby farms, however when i looked at the map, that was not the case. Bathrooms were decently clean. To sum it up food- delicious and fantastic, service, ambiance and vibe can use some work. P.S My ratings are based on whether I believe I could make a better or healthier version at home. If food/drinks/service impress me, I’ll be happy to come back. If not the stars reflect that.
