Crema's Take

This Westminster spot brings nostalgic charm to boba culture with a chill atmosphere lined with vintage touches, making it the kind of place where you'll want to linger over a drink. Their signature creations—like the Strawberry Yakult Tea with Aiyu Jelly and their standout Crème Brûlée Thai Tea—showcase creative flavor combinations beyond standard milk tea, with a loyal following that can't resist their top 10 specialty drinks. Fair warning: service can be inconsistent during busy times, but when your drink arrives, it's worth the wait.

I stumbled upon Aiyu Cha for some pick me up on a Saturday afternoon. The ambiance felt chill with some nostalgic items on display. I ordered a Strawberry Yakult Tea with Aiyu Jelly. (Of course I wanted to try their aiyu jelly as they're living up to their name). My order was ready within 5 minutes. I really like the natural Strawberry flavor, paired with a slice of strawberry and the chunks of chewy aiyu jelly. Adding $1.10 for toppings seemed a bit pricey compared to other boba shops. The taste was almost identical to Ding Tea and Yifang (which is a compliment) because it the flavors were natural and authentic. Next time, I will opt to try their milk teas, Twilight Taro milk and slushies with soy milk. Thankfully, they offer dairy alternatives such as soy and oat milk (for $1 more). I'll for sure be back again at Aiyu Cha on my next visits in the OC.

This boba place is on the edge of HB and Westminster and has some delicious boba. There no fancy looks nice but taste horrible milk tea here. If you order no sugar (yes no sugar), you get the full taste of the tea and toppings without having a full blast of sugar in your mouth. Even though there was only one person serving in the morning, the wait was no longer than 5 minutes for two boba teas.its worth coming if you are in the area to grab a tea.

Waited 25 mins today just for 2 simple drinks and they decided to make the drinks of people ordering AFTER me first. What the heck! Then I asked where my order is and they have no clues what's going on, they rushed making it, ONLY TO MAKE THE WRONG DRINKS and handed to us. I asked for a refund they said "we don't do refund". Then they said "the drink you ordered is actually out". Omg! I have been sitting here for 25 mins, my husband even went shopping at HMart and now you're telling me that? If it's out the moment I ordered it, why didn't you communicate with your customer first? What kind of business is this? Thieves? I insisted talking to the owner and the guy called someone then opened his cash register and handed me back the amount I paid. We even traveled to Taiwan for boba and have tried almost all boba shops around here in both OC and LA and this is the worst experience we ever had. DO BETTER and train your staff better if you want your business to last! Completely waste of time and ruin someone day. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.

Prompt service, made quick, nice store decorations for Halloween (oddly, sign is already on Christmas). As for the Tie Guan Yin milk tea with boba, boba was soft like it ought to be. Regular sugar level wasn't high enough (vs Taiwan boba shops), not enough ice to make it cold enough on a hot 80s day, and tasted a touch watered down/dull. Probably good for some who prefer a warmer boba drink that isn't as sweet, but for me, not an amazing boba drink - didn't finish it.

Tried the Crème Brûlée Thai Tea at Aiyu Cha this time and it was so smooth and delicious! 🧋 Honestly, you can’t go wrong with any of their top 10 drinks listed on the screen. You can fully customize the sweetness and ice level, and they offer lots of topping options ranging from $1.10 to $2. Fun fact I learned from its website that the oolong and tieguanyin teas are sourced from Taiwan, and the purple yam comes from Hawaii. 📍 Aiyu Cha 16472 Beach Blvd, Westminster, CA 92683
