MY RESPONSE TO OWNER : Thank you for publicly confirming that the kitten room was left completely unsupervised. While I understand economic hardships and forced moves, a basic, single-room Wi-Fi camera costs $30, which is only $2 more than the $28 my cousin and I paid for our 2-hour visit. The "exorbitant cost" of a three-floor security system is irrelevant when you are failing to monitor your most vulnerable room. Blaming a guest for politely speaking up is incredibly telling. If your staff had actually been present to monitor the animals, I wouldn't have had to ask another patron to stop squeezing the kittens, walking around with them, and forcing them into boxes. I stepped in because your team was absent. Furthermore, "de-escalation" should never involve demanding an apology from the person trying to protect the animals, while catering to the hostile patron who was actively breaking your safety rules. If you are charging full price to let the public interact with fragile rescue cats, BASIC SUPERVISION IS A REQUIREMENT, NOT A LUXURY. Do better for the cats. Sure you didn’t mean to delete your response… ORIGINAL REVIEW If you genuinely care about animal welfare, please think twice before visiting this cafe. I paid $14 per person for a two-hour visit - so $28 total for both of us. The rules explicitly state that you can’t stand while picking up the cats. Still, I watched a mother and her young daughter repeatedly squeeze kittens to their chests, carry them around, shove them into boxes, and even attempt to lift the boxes with the kittens inside. When I politely asked them to respect the animals and follow the rules, the mother became extremely hostile and started yelling. I asked the staff if they could review any footage to see how the kittens were being treated, but they admitted there were no cameras anywhere. That explained why the animals were left totally unsupervised. There were only two employees in the entire building—one confined to the back of the first-floor cafe, and the other constantly running up and down the stairs to manage the door. How can you justify charging full price for kids, leaving vulnerable animals unsupervised, and not investing in basic camera monitoring? Even worse, instead of addressing the customer who was mishandling the cats, the employee brushed it off as a “community family thing” and actually asked me to apologize to the hostile woman just to avoid conflict. It’s clear the priority is avoiding uncomfortable conversations with entitled parents rather than enforcing safety rules. And when our time was up, the employee abruptly kicked us out without so much as a thank you. Please do better—invest in a basic camera and protect your animals.
A great place to spend time chillin' with cats! Such cute sweet cats! We loved seeing the kittens on the 3rd floor and visiting cats on the other two floors. The cost is $14 per hour per person and reservations are recommended but I saw walk in folks were able to attend during our hour. You can pay for treats $2 but that's optional... Worth it though! We loved spending time with the cats and they were appreciative of getting a treat! Highly recommend the delicious Italian soda!
First time visit during cat bingo! I love a lot of things about this place, the mission, the treatment of the cats, the equipment and seating. However, I found the smell pretty strong, cat urine in particular. It might be a one time issue, as I have not been back. The bingo event was fun and even the store next door had all sorts of cute items. Especially if you are interested in adopting a cat this would be a nice place to get to know them.
Came here to study but got distracted by the cats 🤪🙈 they're cute, most of them wanna be left alone but lots were friendly & curious ^^ there are 3 floors- first one has tables & chairs, second is more for lounging and third has the kittens ✨️ the only staff we met was very short with words and the cafe part was closed but otherwise a fun experience! I believe some cats are available for adoption too if you guys are looking 💛 (sorry I only took photos of the cats and forgot the location 🤣)
This place was fun, took the kids as something to do since it’s hot outside. The kittens were their favorite part, they had two small kittens that were very playful and sweet. A lot of the older cats didn’t want to be messed with but there were a handful of sweet cats that would play and love to be pet.
