Crema's Take

Sammy's is a bright, welcoming neighborhood spot that's earned serious love for its breakfast sandwiches—think Cuban-style options like the Miami Sammi and Samuel that keep customers coming back. Beyond the reliable coffee and pastries (that chocolate chip cookie deserves its own reputation), the space itself is what keeps people lingering: full of natural light, modern and chic, and genuinely dog-friendly, making it the kind of place where you'll want to settle in with your laptop or catch up with friends over a warm meal on a rainy morning.

Sammy’s was in the same area I was staying, so I decided to check it out. I ordered the Cuban sandwich (they were out of the pastrami) and a matcha. The sandwich was solid — a good size, served warm, and not too heavy. I definitely should’ve added a pickle on the side. The matcha was just okay. Not bad, but I’d probably try something different next time. Overall, I really loved the vibe. The space is bright and airy, and the young woman at the register was friendly and helpful. It’s a great spot to relax, get a little work done, and grab a quick bite and a beverage.

Damn good sandwiches! Not sure what more I can really say, we got the Miami Sammi + Samuel and both were delicious. Highly recommend getting the chocolate chip cookie: soft in the center with one of the best crispy edges I've ever had; great way to end a satisfying meal. If you like coffee, don't let the sandwiches distract you, they're lattes are very good. The miso caramel and brown sugar vanilla are super tasty. Came from across town and can say that Sammy's was absolutely worth the traffic to get there

A warm welcoming on a rainy January morning in Atlanta! Sammy’s is an open and inviting spot to enjoy a mouthwatering breakfast sandwich. They only serve breakfast until 10:30. I enjoyed the chicken sausage protein option! The size is perfect and gooey cheese lip licking awesome! I also appreciate the freshly brewed tea, chill music and privacy to snag a corner nook by the windows and work remotely or read a book. Plenty of free parking too!

This is a local spot near my neighborhood that opened in the last year or so. I like coming here because of the proximity to home but also that they’re dog friendly. Their sandwiches are pretty good. I’ve tried the Miami Cuban, Sam I am, Samuel. I would say my favorite is the Miami Cuban which is probably one of the popular items on the menu. I’m not a fan of mustard but I actually liked it in this sandwich. I will say I was underwhelmed by their drinks. I ordered an iced matcha and there was very little “drink” in it, mostly ice. You can see that after finishing my drink, my cup still had almost a full cup of ice. (And this is after some melted!) Not worth the price point imo. Worth visiting for the sandwiches though.

I absolutely loved every bit of my experience at Sammy’s! The chic and modern decor plus the abundance of natural light pouring into the huge windows make for an enjoyable experience inside. And the customer service provided by Jason and his team was A+! I felt very welcome and left with a smile on my face. The highlight of my visit was the delicious food. I ordered The Green Eggs and Ham breakfast sandwich; I got mine with bacon. The brioche bun was buttered to perfection and it was a perfect handheld to eat while driving. The eggs aren’t actually green, but fresh basil is folded into the eggs, cooked to your preference. The yogurt parfait with seasonally fresh fruit and granola was delicious too. I’m not a coffee drinker but I hear the coffee is great. If coffee isn’t your thing, try the limeade with one of their house-made syrups. If you’re in the area (it’s on the corner of Wells and where Metropolitan Pkwy and Northside Drive meet) come in and give it a try, they’re open for breakfast and lunch. If you’re not in the area, do yourself a favor and make the trip. You won’t be disappointed! *Next time I’m in town I’m going to try the Uncle Sam made with smoked pork butt that Chef Sam smokes on the wood burning grill right outside*
