SFMOMA Steps Coffee

The coffee beans they use here are horrible.. extremely dark roast and bad quality. I was surprised to even find coffee this bad in SF.

Nice people, but this is not a place with trained baristas serving good beans. I have a haphazard, gritty flat white made from Illy.

Service was fine, place is nicely decorated, but coffee, despite the fact that it is Illy, was quite disappointing. Sightglass coffee set the bar very high — I expected Steps to be on par with Sightglass.

I think SFMOMA really lost something when Sightglass moved out. My cappuccino was way too foamy. Illy coffee is mid.

Happy to have a cafe in the museum I have a membership to. Friendly and quick service. Interesting cold brew machine but taste great. Same effect of low acidity. Charging stations but you need to provide your own usb. Communal table is also a Puzzle table. Compostable ware is a…
