Crema's Take
“Joyu Tea & Coffee is a cozy Hampton haven that seamlessly blends coffee excellence with creative tea innovations, earning devoted fans with drinks like their standout taro cloudy café latte and the crème brûlée-topped brown sugar fresh milk. Beyond the carefully crafted beverages, the shop's relaxing atmosphere and homemade pastries—including their celebrated cheesecake and tiramisu—make it the kind of place where regulars keep coming back, whether they're settling in for a slow afternoon or stopping by right at opening.”

This was our first time trying Joyu Tea & Coffee, and overall we had a good experience. The taro cloudy café latte was excellent and stood out for its coffee flavor. The matcha cloud, however, lacked depth and mostly tasted like ice. The storefront was clean, and the service was friendly and quick. One drawback was the loyalty stamp policy: although we ordered two drinks, we received only one stamp, as stamps are issued per transaction rather than per drink, which felt unusual and somewhat unappreciative from a customer perspective. We advise ordering drinks separately and opting for the coffee-based drinks over the matcha options.
I didn't expect this place to become my new go to coffee shop. Not only did they have delicious cheesecake and tiramisu, but their selection of regular and holiday coffeesr were good. Vibe wise, the place and chill with few decorations promoting their products. And the fact that they're open till eight pm is nice. Allowing for an afternoon or night cup of coffee or tea. The café is also kid friendly. With few items being in reach of toddlers. So, it also makes for an okay spot to chill with your kid. While they eat sweets and drink the complimentary water, and the parent enjoys coffee or tea.
Sooo good! I highly recommend the Brownsugar Freshmilk, the top tastes like crème brûlée 🤤 and the brownsugar black pearls are fantastic! Super cute decor and comfy atmosphere 👍👍
I rolled in right when they opened this morning! I don't get to visit often because I live pretty far away, but I had the chance to come back today and everything was just as relaxing as I remembered. The familiar space, the cozy, aromatic smells, and the gentle, chill music—it all just sets such a great mood. It made for the absolutely perfect start to my day, especially paired with today's Matcha. Seriously, it was amazing! The staff here are also super sweet and friendly. I absolutely want to recommend this spot to all my friends!
I ordered in store the bahn mi combo for 15$ after taxes but they were out of a couple ingredients. I thought that was okay as long as the swap was my moneys worth but they gave me an almost burnt croissant sandwich and a ‘free’ 90 cent cookie 😭 the croissant was so dry and the cost did not equal what I paid for. I’m not a very confrontational person when it comes to food because I strongly believe in not pissing off the person preparing your food but I don’t think I’m gonna come back for a long time if ever. The quality has gone down since they first opened and this really solidified it for me. They could’ve at least given me a size up on my drink to make up the difference. I just feel like I was robbed. My excitement for a sweet treat has now turned into disappointment 🥲 I might be overreacting but I also don’t think I am 😭 Ps it was more burnt where I ate. I eat my least favorites to most favorite parts 😅 I tried to gaslight myself into believing that it was fine but it was so dry 😭
