Crema's Take

Tucked into Key West's lively scene, this is the island's only kava bar with an attached ramen kitchen, housed in a gorgeously atmospheric space that feels like stepping into a vintage pirate ship. The owner Dennis has crafted something genuinely special here—creative low-sugar drinks like the Key Lime Nitro (just 4.5g sugar) and standout house specials that locals are raving about, all at prices that won't drain your wallet. It's the kind of chill, non-alcoholic gathering spot where families, friends, and solo travelers come to unwind with quality drinks and good food in an unmistakably welcoming space.

Great experience. Glad another chill non-alcoholic bar is open and they have a ramen bar! Nice staff and the drinks are low sugar and taste fresh.

The only Kava bar in Key West that has food! Also, the cheapest prices! Let's be honest, I came for the drinks. There's a wide variety and house specials. My fav is Key Lime nitro, only 4.5g of sugar. But the food and atmosphere is what kept me here. A ramen noodle station with pick your own toppings. So if you're a bit hungry, you don't have to leave. Kava ice cream is available, too. Walking in, I felt like Kenny Chesney- no shoes, no problem. With that laid back vibe and charm. The decorating is unique, 18th century style. A beautiful, hand-drawn mural on the wall with an old map. Although this place is new, it has character and a story behind it. There is a cozy library with board games. A huge projector TV for sports. It's dog friendly. What made this place so special was the people, though. This place felt like home. 💜

Finally!!! A Legitamate Kava Bar, with character, in Key West! The Owner, Dennis put years of thought and work into this place, facing all the demands of the city, in an effort to bring premium quality Kava & Kratom to Key West! The Kava ( Noble Vanuatu 🇻🇺 ) is smooth and well prepared. The Kratom teas is potent! Also there is no extracts available or used. Sticking to the true “Cultures” belief in not promoting extracts and staying holistic. I’m impressed! There’s a giant 160 inch projection monitor on the wall for the games. It has an old school pirate 🏴‍☠️ bar vibe! ALL LOCALS GET 30% (no tricks or BS about it) OPEN 12pm - 12am Come in and have a shell 🥥 ! BULA BULA!!!!!

Kava Key is one of the greatest places to relax in Key West! The interior is incredible, and looks and feels like an old pirate ship. Impeccable vibes; a blend of chill island life and your best friend’s living room. There is a spacious bar and plenty of tables and comfy chairs. The ramen bar is a nice touch…not your average ramen, the good stuff! Good value too, hard to find a quick bite for under $12 in Key West. Love the study/board game room and massive projector screen! The menu offerings are more than kava and kratom. There’s kombucha, tea, coffee and signature drinks as well. The Key lime mule is fantastic. Oh and kava ice cream!!! The people working there treat you like family. They’ve done something special here. Hats off! New favorite spot!

I’m so happy Kava Key is open! The space is gorgeous, the vibes are relaxed, and the energy is just right. Everything I’ve tried has been great, but the Key Lime Mule is next-level—refreshing, flavorful, and dangerously good. It’s the perfect spot to chill, connect, and enjoy an amazing drink. Highly recommend checking it out!
