Crema's Take
“This Milwaukee gem pairs expertly crafted espresso drinks with genuinely creative seasonal offerings that the enthusiastic baristas seem to take real joy in making—each cup arrives as something beautiful and thoughtful rather than routine. The commitment to freshness extends beyond the coffee to their rotating bakery selection, and the combination of attentive service, bright windows, and cozy indoor-outdoor seating makes it feel like the kind of place where regulars keep coming back to discover what's new.”

Bakery is always fresh, coffee always is delicious, and service is friendly and fast. My FAVORITE coffee shop in Milwaukee. They have seasonal menus as well and I always try something different and it's delicious every time. I put all my friends onto this place as well because it is just that good. I have been going here for years and don't plan on stopping.
Cute coffee shop with fun drinks. Ask them if they have a seasonal menu! The baristas are so happy and love to make fun & creative drinks. They literally serve you a work of art. Beautiful! And the monkey bread I had was delicious.
Stopped in one weekday morning for a hot beverage and some bakery. It's part of a larger building with large windows on the front. There are a couple of basic small café tables out front. Inside is a large space that is brightly lit through the plate glass windows. There are tables set up throughout, mainly for couples, but they could be combined for larger groups. There are also stools at the counter for seating. There wasn’t anyone else in the place when I arrived, so it was very quiet. Got greeted by the friendly cashier/barista. I wanted to get a London Fog Tea Latte, but they were out of Earl Grey, so I ordered a Chai Latte instead. They didn’t have a scone, but the cinnamon roll with icing looked pretty good too. Offered to warm it up, and I said definitely yes. It took a few minutes for the drink to be ready, which means they let the tea steep properly. When it got delivered to my table, I was pleasantly surprised by the latte art in the foam. I have never had a barista give me that special treatment and was thankful. The cinnamon roll was warm, gooey, and delicious. Definitely a place that I would return to.
What a great little spot. I was in town for a Harley convention and decided to go get a cup of strong coffee. I got an Americano with an extra pool and found a delicious cinnamon knot covered in frosting. What it lacked in nutrients it made up for in flavor. Absolutely delicious! It’s a beautiful little location. Very calm, interior good music plan and spots to sit outside on the sidewalk and watch folks go by. The barista was extremely friendly and helpful, and I would absolutely go back again in a heartbeat! Great job!
Canary has always come up as one of the nearby coffee shops, so on the 19th of Sept. I decided to stop by to grab a coffee and sit for a bit. From the moment I walked in, I felt unwelcome and uncomfortable. The barista had a look on his face that seemed like he didn’t want to serve me and was wondering “why are you here?”. He served my coffee in an old, white cup and saucer that was visibly cracked in several places, while I watched him serve other customers — both before and after me — in clean, matching blue cups. No one else had a white mug. It wasn’t just about the cup. I noticed him interacting with others more warmly and attentively, while my order was rushed through with minimal interaction. I wasn’t given a receipt either. I’m not someone who makes assumptions, but I couldn’t ignore the clear difference in how I was treated and how I felt as a result. I genuinely felt discriminated against, possibly because of my race. The atmosphere was so uncomfortable that after just a few minutes of sitting there, I decided to leave. The ambience was extremely uncomfortable. I ended up going to a different coffee shop where I could actually feel at ease. To top it all off, the coffee itself was terrible — and I say that entirely separate from how I was treated. It simply did not taste good. Honestly, I’m not sure why this place markets itself as open to everyone when the environment doesn’t feel welcoming to all. This was a deeply disappointing experience. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
