Espresso a Mano
3623 Butler St, Pittsburgh, PA
Crema's Take
“Espresso a Mano is an espresso-focused gem where in-house roasted beans and meticulously crafted drinks like their legendary maple cinnamon latte are the main event—this is a place that rewards your full attention rather than multitasking. The vibey, bustling atmosphere is perfect for lingering over pour overs or signature creative drinks with good conversation, though you'll want to leave the laptop at home since there's no WiFi to tempt you away from actually tasting your coffee.”

NO WIFI - NOT IDEAL FOR REMOTE WORKING. This is a nice coffee shop with a simple menu, decent seating, and in-house roasted beans, but no WiFi and I don’t believe there is a public restroom. I’d advise looking elsewhere if you’re looking to sit down for a while and work on your laptop, study, and so on. Not bad in a pinch if you have a mobile hotspot and need a seat with an outlet.
Been coming for years and this is hands down and without a doubt the best coffee I've ever had! The maple cinnamon latte is the only latte you need in your life! I've had coffee and lattes from across the country and nothing beats this place! This place is the golden standard. If you're visiting Pittsburgh, make a point to stop here. I promise it'll be worth it! The staff is very friendly, fun, and they make sure you get the best experience! So come here, get the maple cinnamon latte, and enjoy some of the best coffee you'll ever have!
Loved this cafe! Nice, vibey space to chat or do work with a super helpful staff! The coffee and espresso drinks here are the stand outs, don’t miss out on their homemade syrups that never miss either. Also their pastry selection is small but really good, especially loved their brioche bun with a light whipped cream filling, it wasn’t too sweet which I loved! Great place to hang out, one of my favorites in Lawrenceville!
Cute spot! Great Matcha Latte to go. Definitely recommend for a quick pick-me-up!
I had been meaning to visit this place for a while because I had heard a lot of good stuff about the coffee. I went on a weekend afternoon and the place was buzzing. Thankfully, they were quite still a few places available to sit down. They have a couple of chairs outdoors as well. If you like to enjoy the sun while sipping on your coffee. The coffee itself was okay. I got my usual iced latte, and I always ask for honey as a sweetener in my latte. Unfortunately, since it is an iced drink, one needs to mix the honey with some hot water and make syrup before adding to the coffee. They did not do that, and as a result, all of the honey was coagulated at the bottom of the drink, making the drink overall quite better. This was such a bummer because in general, the coffee tasted quite great. The atmosphere in general was quite nice and lively, and I could see myself coming here with friends and chilling.
