Crema's Take
“Tucked away on a quiet Seattle street, this neighborhood gem excels at creative, house-made pastries and thoughtfully crafted drinks that go beyond the usual coffee shop fare—think cardamom oat lattes, black sesame salted caramel lattes, and an impressive spread of vegan baked goods like miso chocolate chip cookies and chocolate rye cake. The warm, welcoming staff (regulars rave about them by name) and sun-filled space make it equally perfect for a quick grab or lingering over breakfast, whether you're stopping by for a cinnamon roll or settling in for the full menu of sandwiches and light fare.”

Cardamom Oat Latte is a must try! They have excellent vegan options including Chocolate Rye Cake, Veggie Toast, Lemon Poppy Seed Loaf, Miso Chocolate Chip Cookie, etc! You can also pre order whole cakes from them! Everything was amazing but I would love to see additional vegan cake flavors! Thanks!
I just moved here from Georgia and it’s been my go to now. Harriet, if you’re reading this, you’re amazing! And everyone that works there. The cinnamon roll is such a good bite to have; unexpectedly the lemon cream icing is amazing. Doesn’t over power. Delicious, cozy location overall: is clean. The bathroom is nice. The volume doesn’t get too hectic. I can get work done, a sugar rush and have a great conversation with amazing people. Thank you.
Lovely little cafe tucked away in a relatively quiet street. I ordered the black sesame salted caramel latte (with salted whipped cream), cardomom knot, and breakfast sandwich. All were so good! Especially the latte. Would come back just for that. Lots of seating both outdoors and indoors, with a water bowl outside for the pups. I came on a Thursday morning and there was plenty of seating, but can’t speak to how busy it might be on a weekend.
Hidden gem. Must go and try their pastries. Selection can be a tad limited but everything tried was 5/5. The roll was doughy and a splurge of cinnamon taste. The pie had a great crunchy base with a chocolate layer that went great with the passion fruit topping. Will definitely have again if I see it.
Bake Shop is in a lovely neighborhood, and we visited on a sunny Saturday morning when the café was filled with natural light. There’s also outdoor seating, but the place was busy with a long line, so ordering took a while. The café feels authentic, with most of the food made fresh. I ordered a mocha and a veggie sandwich—the sandwich took about 30 minutes but was absolutely worth the wait. The coffee was okay, nothing special, so I’d come here more for the food than the drinks. The coffee cost felt reasonable, but the food was on the expensive side—our coffee and veggie sandwich came to around $30 with tip, which I think is a bit much. Paid street parking is available nearby.
