Barrio Barista
3735 Culebra Rd, San Antonio, TX
Crema's Take
“Barrio Barista is a sanctuary of calm in San Antonio where the coffee is taken seriously—think quad-shot Americanos and creative signatures like horchata and mazapan lattes—but the real magic is in how the space feels, with old TV shows playing softly under jazz and a unhurried vibe that makes you want to settle in for hours. Beyond the excellent coffee, they're equally committed to food that surprises: barbacoa sandwiches, grilled cheese, and breakfast croissants that justify a special trip on their own, all backed by ample parking and a genuinely welcoming neighborhood energy.”

A very calm and cozy atmosphere. The food is delicious but the lattes....oh the lattes! My go to is the Horchata latte, so good! Definitely a place to visit if you are in the area.
The jazz music was super calming and the environment is super cool. We got the egg sandwich, breakfast croissant and some bean and cheese tacos. Super tasty and the affogato and mazapan latte were delicious.
Love the vibe, definitely my happy place. The old TV shows, the relaxing music, and just being able to enjoy your surroundings and not feel rushed. Ordered the Barbacoa sandwich and tomato basil soup with Frappe, and the Barbacoa tacos and hot Carmel Macchiato. Loved the soup so much I ordered another to go. I didn't love the Barbacoa, I added alot of salt and salsa, wished it had a little fat and cilantro and onions. But I would definitely enjoy my time again there with my Carmel Macchiato, which they made to my enjoyment, and tomato soup.
Stopped by this coffee spot in west side of town. Plenty of parking around the building. I started off with a Americano. It came with quad shots. It really good and smooth. My wife got the honey latte. She enjoyed it very much. She likes to keep it light with sweetener. So the honey was a good addition. My 6 yr old got their boba tea from the cooler. He was excited and gave the biggest thump up. We started with the breakfast sandwich. Really good! And my son had the breakfast croissant. For the desert we had the pastry. Really good and soft. Definitely recommend to others either visiting the city or live here. I love to support local and this is the spot. Staff were great and super friendly. Plenty of room in the restaurant for seating. And they had a seating at the coffee bar. Go and check them out! Thanks for hosting us.
