Macaron Tart
235 Central Park Ave, Virginia Beach, VA
Crema's Take
“This French-inspired pastry shop in Virginia Beach excels at what it does best: exquisite macarons crafted by someone trained under a French pastry chef, along with buttery croissants, fruit tarts, and savory meat pies that justify their price point. The light, leisurely atmosphere makes it an ideal spot to linger with a friend or family member over coffee and pastries, though service can be inconsistent depending on who's behind the counter.”

Pastries looked amazing but when I asked her where she went to school and where she was from, she got really defensive and was incredibly rude after that point. Didn’t wanna have a conversation about it and told me I could look online. I originally asked her where she went to school and she said do not interview me and then I was like I’m sorry I used to be a pastry chef. I was just curious. And she said it made her feel weird when people ask her that question where she learned to do this and where she was from and when I did ask her if she was from France, she gave me a dirty look. Pastries were beautiful though. Pricy but beautiful. Another customer walked out when they saw how she spoke to me.
This place was awesome! We went in on a whim not knowing what we were getting into. We ordered a few macarons, an apple tart, and a chocolate croissant. Hands down the best we’ve had! The service was also very great. We had a very nice conversation with one of the owners. We will be back!
My first time there, I went with a small group. We asked for napkins and the woman working had a fit about it before reluctantly giving us some. Went again against my better judgment. Bought 12 macarons and she put them into two boxes of six. I asked for one extra box since they were going to three different people as stocking stuffers. True to form, the same woman as before had a meltdown about it, lecturing me on the costs of her boxes (this after I offered to pay for the extra box). She eventually sold it to me for an additional dollar "because it's Christmas." This place is awful. There are much better places to buy macarons.
Had a beautiful High Tea with my granddaughter. We got lost in much needed conversation. Sat by the window and let time get away from us…. Food was incredible and worth the cost! The macrons are perfectly made and flavored as they should be🩷🩵🧡🤎. The scones were magnificent and the croissants were the best I have had in the US.
Great macarons! Made by a highly skilled person that was trained under a French pastry chef. Wide variety available, more on the weekends. Also a plethora of pastries and some meat pies on hand. Inviting space and they also provide macaron classes for those who wish to try their hand at baking them on their own. You want to go, GO NOW.
