Crema's Take

Tucked into a charming, eclectic corner of Watkinsville, The Mule Barn is a cozy neighborhood gem that excels equally at coffee craft and comfort food—their signature "Mule" (vanilla caramel latte) and buttery pastries like cinnamon rolls and quiches draw regulars back again and again. The warm, quaint atmosphere makes it the perfect spot to linger with friends or settle in for a leisurely breakfast, with a team that treats customers like family and remembers names.

This is a very new and super nice café in Cochran GA. I had a Rueben, my sister had a turkey Club, and my mother had broccoli cheddar soup. The food was delicious and the service was great. This is a must stop if you are in Cochran!

Cute place and really good coffee! I got the "mule" which they said was a latte with vanilla and caramel and it was great! The muffins were great as well!

The Mule Barn in Cochran is the cutest little spot to meet up with friends — central, easy to find, and full of charm. I had a ham and cheese croissant and my friend raved about her quiche. The coffee drink hit the spot, the staff was friendly, and the whole place just has that old-building character that makes you want to linger a bit. Plenty of room to sit, and the fact that they have a drive-thru? That’s just bonus points for busy mornings. If you love good food, good company, and a cozy local vibe — this is your place!

Fantastic cinnamon rolls — warm, soft, slightly eggy in a good way and perfectly sweet. The blueberry muffin was also excellent. The coffee, though, was pretty average — two large drip coffees came to $9 and tasted about like what you’d get at a diner. What really stood out was the friendly service. Everyone was welcoming and upbeat, which made the visit worth it. I’d definitely come back for the pastries and skip the coffee or try one of their espresso drinks. The drive thru window is down the alleyway. It was slightly confusing. You have to pass the warehouse, then go partially around the block.
