Crema's Take

This French pastry shop is a Palm Springs institution beloved for its exceptionally crafted kouign amann with that perfect balance of crispy-flaky exterior and restrained sweetness that keeps regulars coming back. The owner Helene brings genuine warmth and personality to every visit, creating an inviting atmosphere where pastries like the chocolate tongue and buttery croissants taste even better thanks to the charming, personable service. It's the kind of place that justifies a second breakfast whenever you're in town.

What to expect

Friendly hosts/owners. I arrived soon after the place opened and there is already a short line. The Chocolate Tongue is quite good and unique. The croissants and pain au chocolat were very good (albeit a bit dry). It’s a treat to grab pastries from this place.
