Crema's Take
“Café de Casa is a stylish Mid-Century Modern refuge in Castro that nails the impossible balance between quick coffee runs and lingering work sessions, drawing everyone from SoulCycle enthusiasts grabbing post-workout açai smoothies to families settling in for their thoughtfully inclusive brunch menu. Their Brazilian savory pastries are substantial enough to stand alone as meals, while their well-executed coffee and extensive gluten-free options mean there's something genuinely special whether you're there for five minutes or five hours. It's the kind of neighborhood gem that inspires years of loyalty—locals and visitors alike keep returning because the combination of genuine hospitality, beautiful space, and honest food execution just works.”

This location is so beautiful. Café de Casa never disappoints. Good service, delish food, and now a nice spot to work from
Been coming to this spot for years and it is my go-to post-workout stop when I take a SoulCycle class across the street. When I am in a rush, I get an acai smoothie and a cheese bread puff (forget what they are called). When I have a moment to sit down, I get the acai bowl with all the fixins. Generous portions and so pretty plated! The service is speedy (even when there is a line), the space is bright and airy, and I personally love that they ban laptop work from their tables on the weekends. A must try if you like Brazilian pastries and acai!
Stylish, Mid-Century Modern cafe with well-prepared coffee and wide selection of Brazilian savory pastries (substantial enough to be a light meal in itself). A pleasant little oasis in the heart of the Castro. Good people watching from counter seating up front.
Amazing friendly restaurant down in the beautiful heart of Castro. Went there for a brunch with Family and the menu items were wonderful. One of the best things is they have many gluten-free options which can be very challenging at times. The service was fast and friendly, and the food was absolutely mouthwatering to delight. Even the most picky of pallets do yourself a favor and go and enjoy the fun atmosphere and delicious food.
I was looking for a good coffee shop during my study and fortunately found this the next day which was 2 minute walk from my hotel! Perfect. The coffee and food offering were also perfect. They have interesting and tasty Brazilian cakes and also a savoury selection. The coffee as you would expect was excellent and the decor was modern, fresh and the atmosphere chilled. Definitely worth a visit.
