Crema's Take

This beloved Deerfield Beach breakfast spot wins hearts with generous, made-to-order omelets and standout dishes like challah French toast that keep regulars coming back week after week. The team here—particularly known staff like Ms. Dee—goes genuinely out of their way to accommodate requests and make you feel welcomed, turning a simple breakfast into the kind of experience that becomes a destination. It's the kind of unassuming neighborhood diner where thoughtful service and solid food combine to create something that feels less like a transaction and more like starting your day right.

This was the most generous, fattest meat lover omelet I've ever had. Ms. Dee went above n beyond to accommodate my annoying demands, from asking for a side of heavycream for my coffee to offering to swap my fruit with sliced avocado, and non-stop hot coffee refills. My husband ordered the traditional eggs benni. Check out the perfectly medium yolk in the pic. If you like intimate diner with nostalgic atmosphere, this place is highly recommended.

Positive experience, good food, great service, cute little hole in the wall diner. If anything could be elevated, the bathroom definitely needs a facelift.

My husband was excited to take me here for breakfast as he and friends have enjoyed it several times. I was ready to place my order and asked if the home fries or the hashbrowns either one have onions, as I despise them. She assured me that they do not, so I happily ordered the Chopped “Sirloin” breakfast with home fries. When it arrived all I smelled was onion! Sure enough they are full of them (notice photo). When I pointed out the onions to the waitress…she tried to tell me it was skins and said even the “owner” said there are no onions in them. She lied. Apparently the owner had to sell the place and is no longer the owner just the cook…he’s the one in the kitchen area with a shirt on saying he’s sarcastic (go figure). I surmised that the waitress did not want to confront the sarcastic previous owner about my complaint at all. In all fairness they did offer to cook something else for me and even offered to make it a no charge. I refused, as my husband was trying to save face with utter embarrassment and said he’d eat it later. I would have been perfect happy to have eaten anything else on the menu but, them trying to gaslight me made me furious and I lost my appetite. PLEASE Who ever the owner actually is at this establishment, make sure the wait staff knows the menu! Here’s the kicker… the sirloin patty has some sort of fillers and is full of onion flakes!! It was a nasty piece of meat. The coffee, the eggs and the toast were delicious, but the rest was filled with a down right lie!

My husband and I were in Florida for our friend’s wedding and stopped by Sylvain’s Cafe the morning before. I ordered the challah French toast and he ordered the healthy breakfast. Food hit the spot and the service by Kelly and Mel was fantastic. Great coffee options too. Definitely recommend.
