The Get Down Coffee

The Get Down Coffee Co has the absolute *BEST* vibes!!! I love the seating choices, the music, the menu, everything!! I do think that the prices are a bit too high & pushing to be out of reach of affordability-- but I will absolutely be coming here to spend an extra buck to support when I have it! The staff here were so kind and gave great recommendations! They were also patient with my indecisiveness haha. There isn't a ton of parking available, but there's spots all up and down the street, just gotta get a spot before they're taken up. This is absolutely a cafe that you must visit just so you can experience it for yourself! Absolutely lovely place to spend some time with an old friend, start a new craft, or enjoy a fress study.

This locally owned & operated coffee shop is wonderful, lovely, unique & has a funky, chill, relaxed but fun vibe and atmosphere. It's very much open to everyone, & family friendly. They have unique & amazingly delicious specialty drinks & bakery items. They also sell other locally made & owned beverages. They support the community, too. It's just a great place to go! AND their items are SO inexpensive! They blow any other place out of the water.

What a pleasant surprise! I happened to be out and about riding my motorcycle and felt a bit tired so I decided to get some coffee. I googled coffee on maps and scrolled until I found a nice looking coffee shop to take a break at. It was pretty darn hot out and I was struggling. Stopped at The Get Down coffee shop - ended up getting the Its Your World latte and it was super good. You can tell they take pride in making sure the coffee was prepared well. I was super pleased and stayed quite alert the rest of my 3 hour motorcycle ride. Definitely recommend - the barista was also very nice. Happy to support locally owned black businesses. ❤️‍🔥

I live Northside but I try Americanos all over the city. The Americano here is light and nutty. It was different but very good. The aesthetic is super cute. I love to coffee+walk and the proximity to the parkway is a plus for me. As a lifelong resident of North I would say the neighborhood is reflected in the clientele and the staff. We have a mix of people here. I think the black porter history of the intersection is pretty cool too.

The Get Down Coffee Shop is truly a hidden gem worth every mile of the drive! Even though it’s a bit out of my way, the experience makes it all worthwhile. The variety of coffee options is impressive, offering something for every palate—from classic brews to unique blends. The atmosphere is nothing short of amazing; it’s cozy and inviting, making it the perfect spot to unwind or catch up with friends. Cleanliness is clearly a priority here, which adds to the overall pleasant experience. Plus, the staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to help you choose your next favorite drink. On my most recent visit, I picked up some coffee beans to take home, and I can’t wait to try them out! If you’re a coffee lover or just looking for a great place to relax, Get Down Coffee Shop should definitely be on your list. Can’t recommend it enough!
