MoKaBe's Coffee House
3606 Arsenal St, St. Louis, MO
Crema's Take
“MoKaBe's is the kind of place where the owner Mo genuinely knows regulars by name and treats every visitor like an old friend, creating an instantly welcoming atmosphere that stands out even among trendier nearby spots. Their espresso-focused coffee is exceptional on a cold morning, and the two-story space offers plenty of room to linger with thoughtfully prepared food ranging from full breakfasts to creative sandwiches and satisfying vegan options. Whether you're settling in for a slow sit with a hot drink or stopping by during your yearly US visit, this family-friendly spot delivers the kind of care and quality that keeps people coming back.”

There’s quite a few more “trendy” spots near by this wonderful place but Mo makes you feel at home as soon as you walk in and treats everyone with respect and kindness and not like you’re lucky to get a table. She takes extra special care of each table she works on and would recommend anyone come by and enjoy it. Feeling a human touch in an industry that is feeling more and more lacking that area. Food and coffee was great too! Their Raspberry syrup is the best around. Go Mo!
Dishes: Vegan Falafel w a side of fries, Cheeseburger with tomatoes and pickles (lots of when i didn't ask for extra) LOVED IT! Dessert: Vegab Blondie, Raspberry Oatmeal Squares Drinks: Hot Pepermint Mocha Cocoa(holiday drink), Sasha bucks Latte Iced with whipped cream! Absolutely 100/10, loved all the creativity with the drink names and flavorful as well. Pricing: About $40 for two ppl with Lunch, drinks and dessert. Atmosphere: Very friendly staff and welcoming! Very busy and chatty, loved the conversation and they have an upstairs to more tables and Reeny and Kit were lovely and helpful!
Every year when I visit the US, MoKaBe’s Coffeehouse is a non-negotiable stop for me. Their coffee is pure bliss especially on a cold morning, you honestly can’t ask for more. The sandwiches are consistently spot-on: fresh, comforting, and made just right every single time. But what truly sets MoKaBe’s apart is the hospitality. From the moment you place your order until you’re done with breakfast, there’s always someone checking in, making sure you’re comfortable and well taken care of. It’s that genuine, thoughtful service that makes you feel less like a customer and more like a regular no matter how far you’ve traveled. A place with great coffee, great food, and even better people. Always worth coming back to.
really cute cafe ! from the outside it looks small but inside it’s two stories. you get a number and go to your seat while you order either via qr code or go up to the counter. food was very tasty. highly recommend it especially getting a brownie to go!!
PROs: Friendly service. Indoor (down & upstairs) and outdoor seatings. Food was fine. Coffee was great. Regulars were greeted by their names. Many dietary options to choose from. Baked goods for sale on tables. CONs: Off street parking only. Kitchen ambience rather than a cafe feel. French toast breakfast should come with at least one side. We ordered a Traditional breakfast with vegan sausage & Stuffed french toast (tasty) along with latte and decaf breve. Pay in cash to avoid paying their credit card fee.
