Crema's Take

Frost Cupcake Factory is a neighborhood gem in San Jose that specializes in inventive cupcake flavors like Burnt Almond and Uber's Coconut—each one crafted with surprisingly moist cake and balanced frosting that avoids being overly sweet. This family-friendly spot rewards those who venture to its low-profile location with reasonable prices, quality pastries, and the kind of care evident in their custom orders for office celebrations. It's the kind of place where a simple cupcake run becomes a small discovery, especially if you snag their deals through Too Good To Go.

Great little bakery! Came here to get cupcakes on my birthday and there was a huge variety of flavors. Some of them were very sweet but the Ubers coconut cupcake is absolutely amazing and balanced in terms of sweetness

Excellent cupcakes. My girlfriend discovered this on DoorDash even though it’s in the neighborhood. I’m sure the low-profile location keeps the prices reasonable especially if you go in and pick them out yourself. But the delivery service business model makes sense too.

• FUNFETTI CAKE w/ VANILLA BUTTERCREAM and SPRINKLES • I ordered 9 dozens of vegan mini cupcakes for an office birthday party. The cream was so soft, and the cake was so moist! Placing the order by phone with an emailed payment link was super easy. The delivery process was smooth, too. They texted me day-of and kept me updated with ETAs. If you need dietary-inclusive cupcakes, check them out!

I have picked up cupcakes from here several times using the "To Good To Go" app. I have come to the conclusion that it is not worth it. The cake part is incredibly dry and the frosting feels like lard (fat) in my mouth. Several orders included the same type of cupcake, which is obviously not very popular. My family does not like it either.

Loved their Burnt Almond cupcake. The lady at the register said it was their most popular and I definitely see why. The cake is very fluffy and moist while the frosting was sweet and plentiful but not overpowering. Loved the toasted almond topping. I do think that $5+ for a cupcake is a little expensive I was happy with my little treat.
