Crema's Take

This isn't your typical coffee shop—it's a historic stone building designed by Frank Lloyd Wright that sits at the terminus of the scenic Hermits Rest Route, offering some of the Grand Canyon's most stunning sunset views alongside solid traditional coffee. The real draw is the peaceful, unhurried atmosphere that pairs perfectly with watching light play across the canyon walls, making it ideal for lingering over a cup rather than rushing through. Expect a family-friendly crowd of hikers and tourists, but arrive early (it opens at 9am) to snag a spot before the shuttle crowds arrive.

What to expect

Classic coffee drinks done right. A slow-sit, outdoor seating spot, good for meetings. Family friendly.

The Red Shuttle begins running at 8am and will arrive to Hermit's Rest around 8:30am. The store does not open until 9am. There are bathrooms that were surprisingly well maintained even during the government shut down. The hike back to thr Grand Canyon Village is pretty nice.
