Crema's Take
“Hammerhead Coffee Roasters' Bellingham café is a beautiful, light-filled destination where rotating seasonal drinks and stellar espresso-focused craftsmanship keep regulars coming back—think genuinely delicious pumpkin spice lattes that even skeptics adore. The vibe strikes that perfect balance of lively and welcoming, with a dog-friendly patio and thoughtful touches like seasonal flowers that make it feel less like a coffee chain and more like a beloved community gathering spot where the staff's genuine kindness matches the quality of what's in your cup.”

This cafe is one of my favorites in town and I have taken multiple friends/family here! They have fun rotating seasonal drinks, a clean and visually appealing interior, dog-friendly outdoor patio space with water bowls available to borrow, and out-of-this-world scratch made biscuits. I love that I can use a punch card for biscuits and drinks too! Their roasted coffee is delicious, I especially love the birch latte. For food my partner loves the pimento biscuit sandwich, and I'm partial to the biscuit with high quality raspberry jam and butter. The indoor space is small, and it can get busy on a weekend! The huge windows are very inviting and it's great people watching from inside.
My husband and I are regulars here! Quick thoughts~ -The staff is always so kind. -I love the huge windows and the seasonal flowers that are put out on the tables. -Tends to be pretty lively & busy. -The music choice tends to be quite enjoyable, which is great. Especially when sitting down for a while. -My primary complaint is the awful bright lighting that's used. Would much prefer yellow lights/ambient "mood" lighting. -Biscuits are buttery and heavy, delicious. Probably can't eat these with regularity without consequences lmao - As far as drinks go - I drink an unsweetened double-shot 12oz hot latte, and he drinks hot double americanos with a sploosh of cream. We don't waver from these drinks, because we know we like them! The espresso tastes too acidic for us when it isn't tempered by the hot milk. Yum! Thanks Hammerhead peeps :)
The coffee shop looks so beautiful from the outside and inside - lovely colors! We ordered an oat cappuccino and drip coffee. It was busy today - so it took a while to find a place to sit. The cappuccino was nice and peppy. The drip coffee was not good - it was acidic and my wife couldn’t finish even half of it. A bit disappointed, given how highly rated this place is in public forums.
I'm not a pumpkin spice latte kind of human, but theirs is absolutely delicious! I would have had 4 of them! Everyone that works here is incredibly kind. I highly reccomend!
Bellingham is such a pretty small town. And in this small town is this lovely coffee shop. It's a standalone building, very simple interiors but great coffee. The selection of savory and sweet baked goods is small. They also have several breakfast options. The best thing about this nice coffee shop is the service. The staff is excellent.
