Immaculate Consumption

933 Main St, Columbia, SC

Crema's Take

Tucked away on Columbia's south side, this unassuming spot punches well above its weight with freshly made syrups, house-roasted espresso, and sandwiches that locals rave about—particularly their Brie and veggie on genuinely excellent bread. The cozy, charming interior invites you to linger over pour overs and pastries, making it equally perfect for a quick caffeine hit between meetings or a slow afternoon with friends. What sets it apart is the care in every detail: homemade everything, quality ingredients, and a staff that actually knows their coffee craft.

Immaculate consumption is one of the best kept secrets of the gastronomic experiences in Columbia. A no-fuss looking place that serves fantastic sandwiches. My favorite is the Brie and veggie. The only place where I have seen pickled cornichons as a sandwich side. As a former UofSC graduate, this was my favorite spot for lunch and lounge. I will never forget the taste of their parmesan in their balsamic glazed pasta side. The chefs and the staff are particularly decent folks who have hosted many delicious thanksgiving lunches for the community. They know how to cook.

Stopped in for quick coffee after leaving a meeting next door. Flavor was fine and service was great. I had the bottom of the pot and my cup was filled with grounds... that caught up with me in the middle of the drinking experience and I got a mouth full, surprise! Uggg

Cutest darn place you will ever see inside. Food is fresh, wholesome and incredibly tasty. Sandwiches are super flavorful and the bread is absolutely delicious. Pasta salad was the show stopper bursting with yummy goodness Jackie, Jade, Stephen and owner Rob Reed are all local and very friendly. A SUPER place for a great meal!

I’m not local and it’s my first time at the coffee shop. What I love: *They made home made syrups for coffee, so if you are like me, who doesn’t like artificial syrups you’ll love their homemade syrups *Good coffee * Pleasant atmosphere *Super friendly and helpful girl at the register What I don’t like: * My table had trash from previous visitors and when an employee brought me my food, he just grabbed the food baskets but he left?dirty mags and napkins and he never came back to clean it completely. So I ended up to seating and then partially cleaned table * My croissant beef sandwich was ok. Next time would definitely try something else. * Also no one asked me what side I would like and they just brought me chips. However ,I saw on the menu that they have different sides. *Bathroom door lover was broke, so no way to use bathroom I still give five stars because overall it’s a very decent coffe shop and I know it’s not easy to run a small business like this! By the amount of people visiting it I can say it’s a very popular place. As they say :There is always room to grow
