Crema's Take
“Night Work Bread is a beloved neighborhood bakery in Ballston Spa that's earned fierce loyalty through exceptional sourdough and consistently excellent coffee, with regulars returning for their crispy bagels, cinnamon buns, and artisanal toast combinations. The intimate space fills quickly but rewards both quick-grab visits and leisurely sit-downs, where the smell of fresh bread and a genuinely friendly staff make you feel like a regular from your first visit. Whether you're stopping in for an espresso or settling at one of their few cozy tables with a made-to-order sandwich, this place has clearly become a genuine community anchor.”

Night Work Breads transformed the Village of Ballston Spa and the bread is a weekly staple in our home. Our son has NWB toast for breakfast 5/7 mornings, I give loaves as gifts and recommend to everyone. Most of our guests end up returning every time they visit. It makes me sad to see any critique of the staff.. they are a multi talented multi tasking team and I consider them friends. Certainly they’re friendly! Bonus! They sponsor youth baseball in Abner Doubledays town. No complaints. All love for NIght Work Bread.
Bakery that specializes in sourdough. Was nearby and it smelled so good I had to give them a try. Got two everything bagels and an espresso toffee cookie. The bagels were good with decent crisp but I couldn't get the bagels to toast and really had to tug while chewing. They just stayed soft and overly chewy. The cookie was really soft but had a burned taste to it. I would definitely give them another try based on service alone.
In town visiting and found this place and boy am I happy! It is a small place so be prepared to take it to go if they’re busy. Also, sandwiches are made fresh and may take a minute but it’s worth it! Got a load of lemon rosemary sourdough, baguette, and focaccia to go. All are fantastic! Highly recommend this spot!
A small cozy bakery. Six small tables inside, a few tables outside. The menu includes toasts and bagels. We had salmon toast, there were a lot of onions, but it's not a problem. The coffee is dark roast, unfortunately. No cappuccino or other coffee drinks. The sourdough bread is, in my opinion, the best in the area. Unfortunately, there were no cinnamon rolls, which I dreamed of. I would also like to see soup on the menu (with their bread it would be great).
Very nice small bakery with a very friendly staff. The cinnamon buns are nice and light and are deliscious. Fresh bread daily with different varities to chose from. The olive bread is very good. Fresh coffee is also avaiable. They have some outdoor seating along with some indoor seating. Homemade cookies also avaiable.
