Crema's Take
“Tucked inside the stylish 21c Museum Hotel, Good Press serves genuinely excellent, original coffee that punches above typical hotel cafe standards—rich and smooth enough to satisfy any connoisseur. The space hits that perfect morning-cafe sweet spot where locals linger over conversation and remote workers hunker down with their laptops, all wrapped in a genuinely cute, unhurried atmosphere that makes you want to stay awhile. Pair your carefully crafted drink with a thoughtfully prepared breakfast, and you've got the kind of neighborhood spot that happens to live in a hotel.”

Really cute cafe inside a really cute hotel. Vibes are exactly what you’re looking for when you go into a cafe in the morning. Locals are chatting, visitors are toiling away on their laptops. Coffee is great, and Grace and Jay behind the counter are super friendly. Great cafe to go to when you’re stumblin thru St. Louie!
Very nice staff, clean environment inside the 21c Museum Hotel. I don't venture far from my standard breakfast order and I wasn’t about to today as a non-St. Louis resident. The Classic Breakfast with a cup of coffee was just the way to get the day started! Will definitely want to come back next time I’m in the 314.
I had a nice experience here. The drinks were exciting and fairly priced. The food looked kind of expensive but on par for hotel cafe. Cozy decor and not too busy on a Sunday late morning. Cashier was sooo sweet and my latte was out before I was even done ordering.
It's in a hotel so you have to find the entrance. The coffee is smooth, rich, and original. It is unbelievable, this will be a worthwhile stop if you're a connoisseur. The food comes from the kitchen in another room so when you order you're not going to see the guy making your food don't worry about that somebody is making your food haha. The French toast is amazing, croissant sandwich is perfection, and the original breakfast is high quality and fills you up. The place is extraordinary and they are open early which is very helpful. I came here three mornings because it's so good, there was no need to try a different breakfast spot downtown after I discovered it during the conference. Opens at 6:30am
Utilizing credits given by the hotel allowed my partner and I to have two days of fulfilling breakfast and lunch items here, and we overall thought that the food was not bad in the most conventional way, meaning that there were no highlights but no serious points of constructive criticism, either. Most of the food resembled what we could find in a standard café. Some of the items like the green smoothie, the yogurt parfait (not pictured), and so on were premade and available at the counter. They tasted like what one would expect them to taste like according to the ingredients included on the menu. The smoked salmon toast and the breakfast burrito both had sufficient ingredients. The cinnamon roll had enough sugar content and was a bit dry. The biggest highlights were the designed coffee. Both the lavender latte and the black walnut latte had good art and had a good balance between the coffee flavor and the sweet flavor. We wanted to get lunch items one day but were not able to because their chef somehow winded up in the hospital, which was more than okay, but it raised the question for me about their staffing, because I would think there might be another chef available who could cook lunch items, but apparently not. While I am not certain if it's an indication of intentional understaffing or if it's standard restaurant practice, I do have to let people know this happened.
