Crema's Take
“Tucked into a serene courtyard in Miami's Design District, this intimate French-inspired café transports you from the bustling city streets to a rustic European garden with just a handful of seats inside and a charming outdoor patio. Their matcha is genuinely exceptional, the pastries are sublime (reviewers rave about their chocolate cookies), and the staff treats every order—especially birthday requests—with genuine warmth and care that makes you feel like a regular on your first visit.”

Tiny coffee & pastry spot in the lovely courtyard of the Design District mall. Seating for approximately 6 people inside + approx 20 people outside. Prices are fair. Beautiful scene & very nice crowd. The surrounding stores are uber-expensive & high end.
Walking into Maman in the Design District feels like being whisked away from the sleek, polished streets of Miami and dropped directly into a rustic garden in Southern France. The interior is nothing short of breathtaking—a whimsical blend of vintage wooden furniture, hanging greenery, and their signature blue-and-white floral patterns. It is an aesthetic triumph that feels warm, intentional, and deeply inviting, providing a soft contrast to the high-fashion industrialism of the surrounding neighborhood. The vibe is effortlessly charming. It manages to be both a sophisticated meeting spot for the fashion elite and a cozy sanctuary for a quiet afternoon. There is a gentle hum of conversation that complements the curated decor, creating an atmosphere that is high-energy yet soothing. It is the type of space that feels like a "home away from home," provided your home is a chic, sun-drenched European cottage. While many come for the famous cookies, the hot chocolate truly hits the spot. It is decadently creamy and served at the perfect temperature, offering a rich, comforting embrace in every sip. Whether you are seeking a visual feast for your social feed or a soul-warming treat, Maman delivers a quintessential Design District experience with a heartfelt, French-inspired soul.
The experience and ambiance are always lovely from the cashier to the server, everyone is kind and welcoming. The avocado toast isn’t my favorite, but it’s decent. I do enjoy the coffee; it has never disappointed me. I recommend this place.
Genuinely the best chocolate cookie I’ve ever had!! The matcha is amazing and they went above and beyond to make my birthday coffee so special! 10/10 if you’re in the design district and need a shopping break coffee and snack!
Everything was superb. The focaccia on the paninis made everything so much better. All ingredients tasted fresh and complemented each other perfectly. Will definitely recommend and return.
