Crema's Take
“This beloved Ames spot combines serious espresso craftsmanship with a genuinely welcoming vibe where families, students, and coffee enthusiasts all feel equally at home. The owner's infectious warmth and deep knowledge shine through every interaction, whether you're ordering a meticulously-pulled shot or exploring one of their creative specialty drinks that go perfectly with the vinyl-themed atmosphere. It's the rare café where you leave having made a real connection, not just grabbed a coffee.”

This place is great!!! the owner is always very nice to my son! My son loves this place! And he doesn’t even drink coffee or really listen to records. I do both of those things and the coffee and records are great! I’ve bought some really interesting records here. My personal opinion: if you don’t like this place then there might be something wrong with you. Either that or there is something wrong with me :/
Can’t beat a place that is friendly and inviting to the whole family! Nice quaint shop, friendly owner/barista and even a great atmosphere to work or study. Loved the specialty drink menu (on theme, of course), great music (also on brand), and connecting with people who care about people and their community. Even let the little man check out the sweet vintage vehicle selection - he’s an instant repeat customer too. Stop in for sure, we’ll be back.
Was visiting Ames today with my kids. We stopped by for our first time to get a treat. The owner was there working and was AMAZING. My kids were talking about their Italian sodas the rest of the day. My coffee was really good too. Great vibes, great coffee, great prices. Next time I'm in Ames I'll be stopping by 100%
Found this place while on a trip, and being a Washington resident, it certainly exceeded my expectations. Very knowledgeable owner who takes pride in his beans and flavors. Understands ratios so you don't end up with a tooth-ringingly sweet drink. Talk about music with him, and since it's partially underground/downstairs, it would make a nice place to study. Next time my work brings me to town, I'll visit again; shop local!
The owner was amazing. Some places, you don’t get go talk to many people very in depth when you go to order. This owner instantly stuck up a conversation, kept it going, and took interest in what we had to say. He was very welcoming and offered to make us something from the menu and if we needed things changed, he could definitely do that. The music was amazing which is to be expected from a place with shelves of vinyls. The drinks were made really well and was one of my favorite places to get coffee. The decor was also very interesting and treated a wonderful vibe.
