Crema's Take

Outpost Oconee is a wonderfully curated gathering spot where exceptional cold brew and carefully crafted pour-overs share shelf space with hiking gear, vintage knives, and apparel—it's as much a community hub as it is a coffee destination. Owner Casey has created a genuinely welcoming atmosphere where families and outdoor enthusiasts naturally linger, sipping smooth, reasonably-priced coffee while browsing the eclectic collection of goods that capture the spirit of the north Georgia landscape. The vintage 1940s refrigerator-turned-kegerator and the campfire coffee blend hint at the creative, unpretentious character that keeps people coming back.

Had the pleasure of visiting OutPost Oconee after many recommendations. Such a delightful, family-owned shop! Casey makes his guests immediately feel welcome, and you leave feeling more like a new friend. His 3D creations make fun little surprises for all ages. Great coffee to sip or beans for the house. Cool outdoor gear and gifts to purchase. His wife’s homemade sourdough breads and cookies…ABSOLUTELY DELISH! Had no idea you could make chocolate chip cookies or oatmeal creme pies from sourdough. SO YUMMY! I loved the rosemary Parmesan bread loaf. She takes orders and stocks the store. Great shop for the entire family! Can’t wait to go again…highly recommend!

Great, smooth coffee. The cold brew was very flavorful and reasonably priced. The owner was incredibly friendly and showed off some very useful products if you're into hiking and the outdoors. Will definitely be returning to pick up a bag of coffee the next time I need it.

Made a stop here to try the campfire coffee. We noticed that @southmainbrewing used it with an amber ale. Only had a pour-over brew with a few options. Don’t go into this shop thinking it’s a full server coffee shop. Many nice items inside. The coffee was about average.

This place is so cool. From custom knives to coffee and everything in between. I ended up getting some seasonings shirts, hats, patches. It's got something for everyone! Did I mention the coffee? Mmmmmm

What a cool spot! If I can battle the urge to run to the river after every visit I will be there drinking a cold brew from the 1940's refrigerator turned kegerator daily! The owner is super nice and there are so many interesting outdoor gear, gifts and vintage items to poke through and buy.
