Crema's Take

Taty's is a hidden gem in Garden Grove where the baristas genuinely care—Joyce and the team craft drinks with impressive speed and quality, turning out a sesame matcha latte or double matcha ceremonial in about 5 minutes flat. Their matcha program is the real draw here, offering thoughtfully prepared drinks that go beyond typical milk tea shop fare, with a cute and spacious interior that invites you to linger over your order or catch up with friends. The vibe is casual and welcoming, the kind of place where you finally find actual quality tea and matcha drinks without having to drive across town.

Shout out to Joyce for making my experience at Taty’s amazing! She made our drinks incredibly quick, less than 5 minutes, without compromising on taste or quality. We ordered the sesame matcha latte and the banana matcha latte. The matcha was strong and not bitter, and the cream was perfect sweet and thick. I’ve yet to have another drink made as well as when she made my drinks. The cafe’s ambiance is quiet and rarely busy on weekdays. I would recommend this place for anyone passing by the Chapman plaza.

If I had knew this place existed and so close to me, I wouldn't need to go to Chagee or HNTea for actual tea drinks and not milk tea or matcha lattes (which they do have!) The place is cute and clean and the workers there were so nice and it felt so open and inviting. I got the pandan matcha latte (less sweet), a gyokuro green tea and an Iron Buddha Oolong (both no sugar added). I love the pandan matcha, as its a nice balance of sweet and bitterness without trying to overwhelm each other. The Gyokuro was a bit too bitter for my liking however but the Iron Buddha was perfect. A nice nutty roasted oolong and it left such a natural sweet aftertaste. I would definitely come back here again.

Selected this for the reviews and matcha pictures. Jasmine milk tea w/boba: good tea taste but lacked aroma and fragrance distinctiveness. Boba center on the more chewey side. 4* Double matcha "ceremonial grade": 50% sweetness, missing the double matcha taste and aroma....can barely distinguish the matcha. 3* Overall: 3.5*

They have two locations. The one on Westminster has food on the menu, not this one. It was late so I didn’t get matcha or coffee. I would have loved to try the corn matcha but instead I got the pandan milk. That tasted very much like pandan and whole milk. Also got Iron Buddha oolong tea which was just tea and honey sweetener. Very strong, bold and fragrant tea flavor. They had a kiosk to order or from the person behind the cashier. Drinks came out quick and they had two 30 min parking spot in front reserved for them. This was helpful because the gym took up the whole plaza.

1. The matcha drink was well-crafted and delicious! 2. The spot had fun casual vibes with good spacing in the interior! 3. The staff was friendly and timely with my order! It was ready in about 5 mins! Note: There is a restroom available for customers! Photo: Matcha Einspanner
