Katy Coffee Lab
3111 N Houston St, Dallas, TX
Crema's Take
“Tucked near the Katy Trail with a bright, spacious interior perfect for lingering over work or conversation, this cozy lab excels at creative signature drinks like their Lavender Dreams and Sugar Cookie latte that balance adventurous flavors without overwhelming the coffee. The friendly, attentive staff create a welcoming atmosphere that keeps regulars coming back almost daily, though fair warning—parking is tight since it's nestled in a residential complex, and the menu leans casual rather than extensive.”

I go to the lab for a coffee and a bite almost every morning and they never fail to make me smile and give me wonderful service. The girls that run the desk do a great job keeping the environment friendly and positive. They make amazing coffee and the avocado toast and banana toast is absolutely incredible. Highly recommend this place for your next coffee stop !
Little coffee shop that's almost exclusively for residents in the complex - very limited public parking, but opens into the leasing office lobby. Decent brews, and quiet, bright space for laptop work or people-watching, across the street from the trail.
This is a sweet coffee shop located close to the start of Katy Trail. There's plenty of space to work or relax. I visited because of my coffee passport and ordered a vanilla latté with almond milk, which was tasty. My only issue was finding parking in the afternoon - it took me a while to locate a street parking spot. Despite this, the coffee is good, and I enjoyed talking to the staff about the coffee passport. This place is worth a visit.
Great coffee shop in a great area. Tried out their Sugar Cookie and Lavender Dreams. The Sugar Cookie has dulce de leche and the Lavender Dreams has a pleasant lavender flavor without being overpowering. Kassy the Barista behind the counter was great! Excellent service and super knowledgeable of the menu. If you're in the area it's a definite stop.
Ehh. This place is just ok due to its convenient location near the trail, but the quality of food/drink is average. The menu is limited and doesn’t even have the ingredients listed for anything- you have to ask one by one until you find something that sounds good which just made me feel bad for asking what felt like too many questions. The establishment itself is in a modern luxury apartment building which is part of why the prices are pretty high. The cleanliness and customer service was lacking. Parking is subject to availability on the street or in a small side lot.
