‼️‼️UPDATE‼️‼️ Thank you for taking the time to respond. We did hear back from the owner directly. He mentioned that he reviewed the cameras and said he couldn’t see how the situation described in the review could have happened, and that he has never received a complaint like this before. In other words, the response felt like the experience being shared was being questioned rather than acknowledged. That was honestly the most disappointing part of this whole situation. Issues can happen anywhere no business is perfect. Most people understand that. What really matters is how concerns are handled when a customer takes the time to speak up. Instead of acknowledging that something may have gone wrong or that a customer may have had a negative experience, the response focused mostly on disbelief about how it could have happened. At the same time, a $25 gift card was offered with a request to remove the review. That part was honestly surprising. Offering compensation while also questioning the validity of the customer’s experience feels contradictory. The purpose of sharing the experience was never about receiving money or incentives it was simply about sharing what happened. I’m sure their coffee is great, just as we were told. However, good coffee alone isn’t what builds trust with customers. Integrity and the way concerns are handled matter just as much. People’s time and money deserve both good coffee and a business that takes customer experiences seriously this review is not about being “a few minutes late.” It’s about integrity professionalism, and whether posted business hours actually mean anything. We drove 30 minutes to First Cup Coffee after it was highly recommended to us. At 9:50 PM ten minutes before closing we called because we were 8 minutes away and wanted to be respectful of their 10 PM closing time. JANE answered. Her tone was cold and dismissive. She stated that if we were not there “exactly at 10,” she would not open the door. We reassured her we would arrive at 10 and placed two drink orders over the phone. She also told us she had already shut down the espresso machine earlier than usual so we had to substitute our drinks. We arrived at exactly 10:00 PM. The store was already closed. Lights off. Locked. Everything cleared out. Jane was sitting in her car. (Assuming since it was the only car there with lights on) There is no reasonable explanation for this If the store closes at 10 PM locking the doors should begin at 10 not before Based on the timing and the interaction it is very clear she never intended to make the drinks. This is not a small oversight This is an employee making the decision to close early, ignore placed orders, and leave paying customers standing outside after they drove 30 minutes. Management should seriously reconsider 1. Why the espresso machine was shut down before closing 2.Why phone orders were accepted with no intention of fulfilling them 3.Why a staff member felt comfortable closing early and leaving before posted hours It only takes one employee like this to damage a business’s reputation Word of mouth built your recommendation this experience will spread just as fast. We will absolutely be sharing this experience with the same people who recommended you. Owners: if customers trust matters to you this is worth investigating.
I wish that I loved this place every time I come, unfortunately I have a wonderful experience about every other time. Before today, I had been here 4 times. Twice with great lattes and bakery items, once was terrible coffee and a very dry crumbly scone, the other time was kind of so-so. Today was middle of the road again. The almond croissant looked very good but was cold by the time the latte was ready. I tried drinking the latte but it was so bitter that I couldn't finish it. I asked them to remake it, which they did but it didn't salvage the day. The playground in the back is terrific, my granddaughter loves it.
The cutest coffee shop with great coffee! We were traveling and wanted to find something to try other than Starbucks. It’s usually risky to try smaller coffee shops but we stumbled on First Cup and it didn’t disappoint. Located in a cute shared office building/space, it had a really cool ambiance. Friendly staff and we got a good Iced Latte with caramel. Would definitely stop again!
Loved the cold brew. Friendly staff and plenty of space to do work, homework, meet, etc. Also has meeting rooms and outdoor seating. Strong recommendation.
Cute and cozy coffee spot, reminded me of a small cabin in the mountains. Nice quiet spot if you want to hold a small meeting or book club reading in there small office rooms that are available. Drinks were just right and not super sugary like other places. 10/10 recommended! 🇺🇸
