Root and Seed

i’m gluten free and vegan so it isn’t always easy to find a place that caters to my needs but I found Root an Seed while I was visiting family in the area and I went almost everyday! The bagels are AMAZING!!! everything was so great and made fresh everyday!!! I even got bagels to bring home with me!

I have only good things to say about this cafe. I just moved back to this area and I'm beyond excited to know I have a place to do my work while nibbling on the tastiest GF/dairy-free treats! The matcha is really good. The service is awesome. I will absolutely be back for the sesame bagel with cashew "cream" cheese. There are so many desserts from the window that I wanted to try. I think I even saw the owner come out with a freshly baked cake to celebrate/commemorate with one of the staff. It's a very intentional business with a wonderful working environment. The playlist they were playing was also really good, too!

Being gluten free makes it so challenging to find truly good food especially fresh baked goods so when I found this spot, I knew I had to try it. And let me tell you… it did not disappoint. I tried the tiramisu, baklava, and the Snickers pastry and OMG… they were absolutely to die for! The flavors and textures were unreal and worked so perfectly together you’d never guess they were gluten-free. If I lived nearby, I’d honestly be in trouble 😂 Friendly staff, super cute place, and the pastries are seriously AMAZING. So worth it!

As someone who doesn’t even follow a gluten free or vegan diet, I can honestly say this cafe is the best! It’s completely gluten free and vegan, and everything is house made even the cheese. Every item tastes absolutely amazing, fresh, and full of flavor. The desserts and coffees are delicious especially the tiramisu, which was truly outstanding. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, and the whole place has such a peaceful vibe. This cafe has definitely become my new happy place. Highly recommend. Thank you for creating such wonderful, handmade products I’m truly grateful.

I was delighted this week to discover this wonderful all plant based bakery / coffee shop / smoothie place. It is so worth the trip-You can hang out in the very cool ambience while sipping coffee and enjoying a Turkish bagel with homemade cashew cream cheese or numerous bakery items or a healthy smoothie, or you can take everything to go. I bought so many things, and every single item was so good! They only use natural sweeteners with low glycemic index and no artificial sweeteners. If you’re looking for a great taste, better health, helping our planet or kindness to animals you’ve gotta check this place out. The staff are also so nice and helpful and welcoming.
