Crema's Take

Nestled in Poipu, this charming bakery and kitchen wins hearts with genuinely warm hospitality and an unexpected depth beyond its tourist-friendly name—think Korean fried chicken and macadamia nut brownies alongside island staples and full breakfasts. The slow-paced vibe makes it perfect for lingering over coffee and pastries with family or friends, especially if you're fueling up before heading to Waimea Canyon, though patience with service times is part of the experience.

What an amazing surprise this place was. The Korean fried Chicken was awesome. The vegetable stir fry was too. But the big winner was the chocolate brownie with macadamia nuts. Yum Yum Yum

Such a great place! We thought it might be a tourist trap with the name but it was quite the opposite. + Perfect breakfast stop for us, staying in Poipu and on our way to Waimea Canyon. Fueled up and grabbed musubis for the hike. + Great portion sizing, super comfort food, served piping hot + Friendly service, lots of space, well priced - Food did take a while but nothing out of the ordinary on the island Lots of locals, which I think is a good measure of the food!

Kauai Kookie is such a charming spot! The lady who served us was incredibly sweet and kind, she made us feel so welcome. The food was delicious and the service made it even better. A must-visit!

One of the most famous Hawaiian cookies straight from Kauai! Not only can you get some souvenirs for you and you family, but get to order authentic island food. I wasn’t hungry so I didn’t get to try the food. But that is on my bucket list! I did however grab some cookies to bring home. The staff is so nice and it feels like a neighborhood bakery / eatery.

Food is so so and takes a bit to get it to you. We were the first people in the place for breakfast in the morning and it was about 20 minutes till our food came in. The portion size is big, we ordered the pancake breakfast any we could have split it between us. They got lots of grab and go stuff too.
