Crema's Take

Nestled in a mall hallway, this casual spot serves up reliable comfort food—think impossibly good impossible burgers and fresh salads—with a sweet staff that keeps regulars coming back despite the occasionally inconsistent kitchen execution. It's the kind of place where you'll find families and friends lingering over traditional coffee drinks and full breakfasts, though you might want to manage expectations about portion policies and food quality on any given day.

Ordered eggs. Received yolk puddle. Asked for one slice of bread. Was told I must purchase two slices for $4. At that point, the bread cost more than the dignity of the situation. Bold business model: create a problem, then charge extra to solve it.”

This evening was my second bad experience at Cocoachino's. The first was when I ordered delivery a few weeks ago. The delivery charge was $5, which is ridiculous considering I'm in the same neighborhood. Then they told me that the $5 doesn't even go to the delivery driver. What kind of business owners keep the delivery charge for themselves instead of letting their poor, hard-working delivery drivers have it? The owners own like three restaurants and a catering business; one would think they're doing well enough without keeping the delivery charge from their drivers. Then this evening, I stopped by for a vegan pizza. But I waited at the counter for over 10 minutes, with no one ahead of me. When the portly fellow with the moustache finally came over to take my order, no apology or anything. Then he adds a $2.50 charge for the vegan cheese, but I hadn't seen anything on the menu about such a charge. Since the pizza was super expensive as it was, I chose a less super expensive pizza. The disgust in the guy's face. Wow. I explained that it was because the menu didn't say there was a $2.50 charge for vegan cheese. His response? "Yes, it does." And he grabs the menu, closely reads every word of the pizza toppings sections, and sure enough, I was right. Finally he must've apologized this time, right? Nope. Then, after waiting a while for my pizza and no sign of it, despite the fact that it was not busy, I got up and went in to ask how much longer the pizza would be. The equally cold young lady curtly says, "It's ready." The pizza was sitting there on the counter right next to her. Unfortunately the pizza was not worth the wait. They didn't even bother trying to spread the toppings somewhat evenly across the pizza.

Everything is nice,I know sometimes it takes time but it’s understandable that they get busy most of the times, there is this girl who works there, with long hair and she is always so nice and sweet with every costumer,I feel so welcomed at Cocoaccinos.

I had a great salad, my friend had an impossible cheeseburger and our other friend had Fish and chips. All the food was great! Atmosphere is like eating in the hallway of a mall - because it is. Like outdoor dining indoors. Order at the counter, take a number, make your coffee, they bring your food to your table.

I recently ordered a pizza, and unfortunately, it wasn't a great experience. The bottom of the pizza and the inside of the box were covered in dark, speckled particles, which was pretty off-putting. It made me question the cleanliness of the preparation area. The taste was okay, but the visual issue really detracted from enjoying it. I hope they address this problem to improve the overall quality.
