Crema's Take

This Boulder roaster has earned an nearly perfect reputation for its meticulously sourced single-origins, particularly their year-round Ethiopian offerings that reviewers consistently describe as the best they've tasted. The team runs a warehouse-style operation where you can meet them in person (just order ahead), and they've built a loyal following around fair pricing, organic natural process beans, and a genuine commitment to social responsibility that extends to their Airbnb supplier partnerships. Whether you're stopping by for a slow pour over, espresso, or grabbing beans to brew at home, there's a palpable sense that this is a roastery run by people who care deeply about coffee and their community.

This is the best coffee available! Had a great experience stopping by the warehouse and meeting the team. What a great team! Note: you're supposed to order online ahead of time so that when you show up they have what you're looking for and ready to go for you.

Hands down the best coffee roaster in the area. I’ve never been disappointed in a bag of beans I’ve purchased. I particularly like the Organic Ethiopia Sidama natural process. Phenomenal!

Great coffee at a great price. I've been looking for an alternative to Ozo coffee beans for a while at reasonable prices, and I feel like I've found that in Conscious Coffees. I haven't tried everything they offer, but I've really enjoyed the blends and single origins I've tried so far and the beans are never overroasted. The house blend "Basecamp" is quite good, and in my opinion a good house blend is a sign of a good roaster. As a side note, Conscious Coffees doesn't exactly have a store front, as it seems that they do most of their business either through the mail or in bulk to local cafes and restaurants. If you live in the area, you can still do local pick up, just place your order online and choose "pick-up" on the order screen. Just make sure to use the door at the back of the building, on the side closest to the train tracks. Sure its unconventional, but its worth it.

We have been buying Conscious Coffees for the last year and a half for our Airbnb and our guests have raved about it! We love it too and drink it daily. We love that this company is socially responsible as well and we feel good about supporting a company that supports the environment and the local farmers. Highly recommend!!
