Cafe Villamor
825 Ilaniwai St, Honolulu, HI
Crema's Take
“Tucked away in a rock climbing gym, Café Villamor punches well above its hidden location with exceptional pour over coffee and what locals rave are the best acai bowls on Oahu—crafted without the cloying sweetness of competitors and bolstered with whey protein for substance. The intimate, quiet space cultivates genuine connection, whether you're fueling up before a climb or settling in for slow coffee conversations, with a team so genuinely warm they've become part of why regulars keep returning.”

Located hidden in a rock climbing gym with zero dedicated parking. It was dead silent without patrons humid and hot inside the cafe and they were “only serving coffee” when we went during their open hours — no food. Seating comprised of 2 tables with stiff benches. Overall, there was nothing necessarily wrong with the cafe (we left due to all the annoyances and went to Kakaako cafe down the block — 5/5 stars delicious sandwiches/drinks/super clean AC and music) but at the time of visiting this place was … 4.8 stars? Very misleading, the entire reason of posting this review is to correct it hopefully down to 3.5 at most. 4.8 is incredibly misleading and caused us to waste a lot of time chasing this supposed 5 star establishment down using GPS. Do not waste your time and just go to Kakaako down the street if you have already found yourself there.
I tried three different spots over the course of a week, and this one was easily the best. Café Villamor really stands out if you’re looking for low-calorie options that don’t sacrifice flavor. I loved that they offer high-protein drinks with whey protein it’s hard to find places that balance taste, nutrition, and quality this well. Everything felt thoughtfully made, and it’s a great spot whether you’re health-focused or just want a really good coffee and bite. Definitely my top pick out of all the places I tried.
Best acai bowls in Honolulu! Love that whey protein is added too so you can make your açai bowl a high protein meal. Coffee and turkey bagel were also delicious. Our server was so sweet as well :)
This was the most amazing place ever. I found myself wandering through the streets trying to be hopeful that my Army son (26 years of service) would survive a severe TBI. The murals in this neighborhood spoke to me. Once I entered this wonderful place I felt peaceful and hopeful. River and Alexis were so kind I didn’t want to leave this place. Kaiela was amazing as well, I met her on my second visit. I visited this place for its cortado, stairway to heaven and the compassionate individuals. My heart leaves the island heavy, my son passed two days ago but the mural near this coffee house forever tell his story. Ometeotl
This is a little hidden gem. Best acai bowl we had on Oahu. Not sugary like others and very refreshing. Superb pour over coffee too. Very friendly.
