Crema's Take

Island Brew Coffeehouse captures that rare magic of a gathering spot where the views are as memorable as the drinks themselves, with their Hawaiian honey latte and creative signature beverages like the Banana Rama earning genuine praise from regulars who keep coming back. The waterfront patio vibes are unbeatable—especially if you hit it on a weekday to dodge the notorious weekend crowds—and you'll find yourself lingering over a full breakfast or fresh lunch while soaking in those Hawaii Kai views. It's the kind of place where thoughtful coffee craft meets island hospitality, and the solid espresso foundation means even their traditional drinks punch above the usual tourist-trap coffee shop weight.

Great view and vibes. Banana Rama was good. Açaí bowl was good with granola not too sweet. Coffee normal / solid. Lines are pretty long seemingly all day during the weekend so leave lots of time. Probably makes the most sense after haunamay bay rather than before if limited time. Plenty of seating though for hanging out just a line to order food

We stopped by for lunch on a weekday. It wasn’t crowded, so we were able to find a table easily. We had a turkey club, hummus, garlic bread and brochettes. All tasted good and fresh. The service and the latte were okay as well. The main reason that people dine here is for the views from outdoor dining area. It was breezy, comfortable, relaxing and beautiful all at the same time. Its atmosphere can easily made up for everything else. Final note: this one was far superior than the one located in Ward Village.

This place is a true breakfast wonder. I know they offer meals throughout the whole day, but having breakfast here on the water was so fun. We ordered a raspberry mocha and a Hawaiian latte and they were both phenomenal. I felt like the ingredients were good quality and we really enjoyed them. I’m sad. We won’t be on this side of the island again before we leave. We ordered the Montecristo and the spicy avocado toast, and split both entrées equally. The Monte Cristo was rich the perfect amount of cheese in meat and served with a salty potato chips was a wonderful combination. The spicy avocado toast was done perfectly as well. I really can’t think of anything negative to say here. There was ample seating. The staff is very nice and helpful and patient. We would definitely recommend this to anyone local or traveling to Oahu.

Really enjoyed Island Brew Coffeehouse! The outdoor patio is beautiful with a chill, relaxed vibe and great views, especially near the water in Hawaii Kai. The space mixes comfy seating, bright open patio areas, and touches of local art, which makes it perfect to relax, work, or hang out with friends or family. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, quick to make recommendations and genuinely attentive. The food was fresh and tasty, loved the sandwich and Eggs Benedict, plus the pastries were solid. The coffee was excellent too, they use Hawaiian-grown beans roasted weekly, and the cold brew is smooth, made with care. Overall a lovely place to unwind and soak in Honolulu’s atmosphere.

We've visited twice so far, and this is hands down the best coffee we've had on Oʻahu. The Hawaiian honey latte was fantastic, perfectly balanced, not too sweet or too bitter. On our second visit, we tried the Sunrise Tea, which was exactly what we needed after an afternoon of snorkeling and hiking, so refreshing! We also had the spicy avocado toast, and it was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend this spot for both drinks and food. We'll definitely be back!
