Crema's Take

Tucked beneath the beloved Jardin coffee roastery, this intimate walk-up bakery punches well above its weight with some of Richmond's most respected bread and pastries, earning devoted fans for its crispy-yet-tender focaccia, properly crusted baguettes, and standout jambon-beurre sandwiches. The small, no-frills setup makes it perfect for grabbing exceptional French-style pastries and coffee on the go, though the quality and care put into each item—from chocolate walnut cookies to Grisettes—suggests this is anything but a quick convenience stop. Connected to the excellent Jardin team, it's become a go-to destination for serious pastry lovers who appreciate authentic technique over flash.

Beautiful small bakery that part of Jardin. Everything looks amazing..taste isn't as good as I had hoped. The baguette was average taste and the jamboree beurre is dry. This is my second visit and isn't my preferred bakery

Fantastic bakery connected to Jardin. I'm so in the bag for the Grisette, Beaucoup, Jardin crew that I might be a little biased, but they're my new go-to pastry shop. The jambon-beurre was incredible. Fresh bread, delicious ham, and flavorful but not overpowering pickles. The canelle was the best I ever had, and our sweet pastry (can't remember what) was the perfect way to round off sunday breakfast.

Stopped by this wonderful bakery right under Jardin. We tried a smattering of different and everything was wonderful. Excellent bread, sandwiches, and pastries. Not surprising as they supply the baked goods for a few great local restaurants too. Wonderful and helpful staff. A nice neighborhood gem, will be returning.

Petit Four has some of the best bread in Richmond without a doubt. Crispy yet tender focaccia and a baguette with a proper crust while maintaining flavor. They have a small spot with a walk up window and limited coffee drinks for now. Check them out before there's a line around the block for these great baked goods.

I am trying to go to every bakery in Richmond and Petit Four is easily one of the best if not the best. We got the focaccia, pretzel, chocolate walnut cookie, and jamon beurre, all of which were perfectly baked and had beautifully balanced flavors. Be prepared to wait (I was in line about 35min), but it is worth every second.
