Guajiros Miami Eatery
114 10th St NW, Charlottesville, VA
Crema's Take
“Guajiros brings authentic Cuban coffee culture to Charlottesville with a warm, vibrant atmosphere that feels like a genuine gathering place rather than just another café. Their Café con Leche and Cortadito are standouts that keep regulars coming back, and the thoughtfully crafted oat milk lattes prove they respect both tradition and modern preferences. Beyond the stellar coffee, the full breakfast and brunch menu—featuring creative items like Tostones Rellenos—makes this the kind of place where you'll want to linger with friends over excellent food and that perfect cup.”

Came here on a Saturday brunch/breakfast. Really fun decor, good service and really good food. I had the Cafe con Leche and breakfast tacos with the avacado add-on. Several folks in our group got cocktails which were well mixed and everyone seemed happy with them. In fact, everyone was pleased with the food quality. The selection and menu is exactly what you'd expect from a place based on Miami Cuban style. We will absolutely return next time we are in Charlottesville.
The food is absolutely delicious, and this place truly has some of the BEST coffee in town. I recommend the Cortadito or Cafe con leche. Unfortunately, I can’t quite give it five stars. While everything tasted great, the portion sizes are a bit small for the price you pay, especially considering the ingredients are fairly simple. Also the food takes a while to get to you (I have been here three times now and have waited a fair amount for the food after ordering each time). We left a little hungry still and ended up grabbing more food elsewhere. That said, the quality and flavor were definitely there.
Every single thing on the menu is delicious! Both times I’ve been, I’ve had the cafe con leche with oat milk and it’s one of the best lattes I’ve ever had. Their brunch menu is fantastic, especially the breakfast bowl. I love how the sweetness of the plantains pairs with the savory flavors in the bowl. Also, be sure to try the chia pudding! The tamarind jelly is out of this world and pairs so well with the toasted coconut. By far the best place for brunch in Charlottesville!!
It was good. Very crowded (it was hard to find a parking spot) with good decor and a unique menu. But maybe my expectations were high (which is understandable given its location) , it was not that impressive especially when things are on the pricier side. Really liked the latte! The breakfast bowl with scrambled eggs and tortilla chips were pretty tasty. It was spicy. The empanadas were kinda disappointing. The powdered sugar didn’t really do anything. We also tried the pork belly burger which was at most average.
Simply incredible, some of the best brunch we've had! Super fun International Sodas and Coffee, tried the Cafe Bombon and it was great. Tostones Rellenos is unique and savory, especially the plantain cup filling, and Chicharron de Cerdo is a flavorful and textural adventure, a must-try for any pork-belly lover! Huevos Guajiros is a truly impeccable dish, a generous helping of the most delicious eggs we've had. Food came out super fast, too, with fast and friendly service to boot! Charming decor and awesome massive window, as well, so glad we stopped in.
