Crema's Take

Tucked behind a church in downtown New Haven, this coffeehouse strikes that perfect balance between a focused espresso bar and a welcoming third space where you can linger for hours. The single-origin espresso drinks shine here, whether you're ordering a meticulously crafted macchiato or exploring their rotating flavor additions like sugar-free blackberry vanilla, and the thoughtfully spaced seating and calm morning vibe make it ideal for both deep work and meaningful conversations. At a friendlier price point than the chains, it's become the neighborhood's go-to for coffee lovers who appreciate quality craft without the pretense.

I just went here for the first time - what a great coffeehouse in the middle of downtown New Haven! Great service, great vibe, and perfectly sweet macchiato.

Christian coffee house on the back of a church. Only one person working in the morning. My wait time was about 10 to 15min the two mornings that I stopped. My double espresso mocha was very good. Barrista was pleasant.

First time visiting. Inside was quiet, nicely decorated, spaced out table seating. Coffee was delicious and so many choices of flavors-even sugar free! I had a SF blackberry vanilla latte that was delicious!! The barista, Charles, was friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend!

New local coffee shop to New Haven. There was a coffee there years ago so I'm glad they are open again. It has assorted teas. That's what I usually do. They are busy in three mornings but it is calmer in the afternoon. They do have food. They have sandwiches as well as pastries. If you need a quiet place to work, it's good. 4-5 tables. There's a step right be the door so watch your step
