Crema's Take

Nestled in Columbus, this espresso-focused café thrives on unbridled creativity, with a rotating menu of cleverly-named specialty drinks that taste as inventive as they sound—think beautifully garnished lattes designed by someone who clearly views coffee as an art form. The thoughtfully curated space itself becomes part of the experience, drawing people in for genuine conversation and lingering moments, where the exceptional service and staff warmth make even inevitable waits feel like part of the charm rather than a drawback. It's the rare coffee shop that refuses to play it safe with seasonal trends, instead offering something genuinely exciting every time you visit.

Wonderful coffee in a perfectly curated atmosphere! The drink menu is always unique, exciting, and delicious. The wait can be long but always well worth it, and the staff is a delight to talk with. Thanks for being a light in our Columbus community!

Callin’ Your Bluff is always concocting fun new specials with clever names and every single one of them tastes absolutely incredible. The service is exceptional and if there’s a long line, I guarantee you’ll make friends around you. The vibe is immaculate with thrifted Western knickknacks. Sometimes I sit down and hang in the sunlight of the beautiful Land Grant Extension and other times I grab my coffee to go. Either way, 10/10 CYB is one of my absolute favorite coffee shops.

Pros: Creativity (see past Weekly Specials below!), Service + Friendliness, Quality of Products, Attention to Detail, Comfortable Atmosphere with Character/Theming. They are also willing to customize sweetness/other aspects to make it the way you like it! Cons: Expect varying wait times depending on time/day and drink specials/events. I have waited as long as an hour+. Somewhat small space. Things to Keep in Mind: Price (weekly specials are $8-10; espresso drinks $8-9, Matcha $9-10) They have a seasonal menu as well (espresso drinks ~$7, Matcha ~$8). They do not currently carry Decaf. Make sure to note their location if it's your first time, slightly tricky to locate (Land-Grant Extension). Plenty of street parking nearby. Check their instagram for all the relevant updates and drink details! Some of the most exciting coffee drinks I've ever tried, especially in Columbus. If you are like me- you're adventurous, and want something worth your while- this is the place you have to try, even if it's only once. Some of past their specials include: Banana Flapjack, Ferrero Rocher, Smoked Butterscotch, Sumo Mandarin Saffron, Pho, Ramen, Christmas Cake (Little Debbie), Peanut Butter Hot Honey, Croissant, Dirt Pudding, Root Beer Float. They've even had Affogatos before! They focus on Espresso and Matcha, but also carry cold brew. On Saturdays (local, usually small, baker) and Sundays (Honey Dip Donuts), they also offer baked goods. I remember when I first heard about them and visited their garage set up in summer '25. Kylie and Molly care so much about their craft and everything they do, and it's been clear since that first visit- but it has grown since then. I love how they decorate and theme based on the occasion (see Valentine's Day + Halloween pics below) AND their specials. I can't wait to see how they make up their own space once they have a shop to themselves! In terms of their drinks, I think the craft and creativity of their syrups shines through. They just simply love to play with flavors and it almost always works if you are willing to take the gamble. And lastly, I really appreciate how they partner with local businesses and stand on their morals as a small business. They are outspoken on their opposition to ICE activities and helped raise a lot of money in mutual aid, particularly recently. They love working with local bakeries, setting up small markets in their space, creating merch with a local ceramicist, and more. You can truly feel good about supporting what they do.

Tired of seeing the same seasonal flavors at every coffee shop you visit? Then check out Callin’ Your Bluff. Kylie designs some of the most creative and beautifully garnished lattes. You won’t find flavors like these anywhere else in Columbus. Each weekend there is an innovative specialty latte and treats from rotating local bakers.

I’m a huge fan of trendy coffee shops, and in a city like Columbus, you’ve always got new places opening left and right. But I can say that Callin’ Your Bluff is by far my favorite coffee shop in the city! Their concept is so unique and there’s so much effort put into creating a memorable experience and atmosphere, you can tell it comes from a genuine place of love for coffee, wild west aesthetics, and community. And of course, the drinks are so delicious and so creative. The owners put such work into every single cup, you feel special every time you go, no matter how busy they are. My fiancé is not the type of guy to stand in a long line for a cup of coffee, but even he loves going. I’m so glad Callin’ Your Bluff has entered the scene and I can’t wait to see them grow!
